Have shifted our focus. Now concentrating, while working w/ a Tulsa, OK-based firm, on helping doctors offices, hospitals and Native-owned healthcare facilities with a Medicare-related service. I.e. Non-face-to-face chronic care management for Medicare patients. How does that help these health providers?
1) Better patient outcomes - our health coaches (nurses) are advocates for MC patients to improve their health by engaging them on a regular basis (m/m 20 minutes per month) which results in accountability to get some exercise, eat better, get plenty of rest, but also there's a psychological component being able to talk to someone who cares about improving their health.
2) Increase in Medicare revenue - The US Gov't via CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) in emphasizing value-based care and believes this non-face-to-face contact will reduce Medicare costs, and it does work. So there is a potential for any health professional with a NPI # to take advantage of this program for their MC patients.
3) What we do boosts Medicare compliance so those with a bad report card will likely get into the good category and this also results in more MC revenue.
