The Northern Tier Hardwood Association (NTHA) is a non-profit organization supporting and promoting the forest product industry, sustainable forestry, and its supporters throughout Wayne, Pike, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Bradford, Sullivan, and Tioga counties of Pennsylvania. The mission of the Association is to promote long term economic development in the Northern Tier of Pennsyl

vania through intelligent forest management, careful expansion of secondary wood processing, improved manufacturing methods, regional hardwood promotion and education. Our membership includes over 100 forest products-related companies, forest landowners, and organizations of all sizes. The online directory will help you locate suppliers of quality Pennsylvania hardwood lumber, flooring, veneer, logs, millwork, and forest management services. You can also find services from local businesses who share the organization’s mission of supporting and promoting the long-term advancement of the region’s wood industry and sustainable forests. Northern Tier Hardwood Association provides a variety of member benefits that include industry-related workshops and training, grants in support of member expansions, regional marketing assistance, and advocacy to community leaders regarding the needs and benefits of the wood industry and the Commonwealth's forests. In addition, NTHA sponsors a significant number of educational programs across the region as well as many major community events. We also maintain a scholarship program for the region’s students interested in pursuing post-secondary education related to the forest products industry. We are excited to announce that NTHA has been awarded a 2026-2027 PA Agricultural Innovation grant for a hardwood harvesting simulator for education and industry training! We will also use the simulator to increase interest in our forest products industry and hopefully gain workforce.
