Please join us in welcoming Jennifer Baird Williams to Southern States Fire.

Jennifer joined us on June 8 as our Office Director. She is going to be responsible for helping us to streamline our business by managing our social media page and our IT needs.

She recently retired from Mississippi State University where she served as Systems Administrator for the Longest Student Health Center for over 14 years. She has a total of 26+ years of experience in business administration and technology management. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University.

She has been involved in the fire service for over 25 years, having held the office of chief for over 18 of those. She is currently serving her local community as a Captain with her local fire department. She has achieved numerous certifications and designations over her fire service career.

She proudly serves the MS Fire Fighter’s Association as Secretary/Treasurer, a position she has held since 2014. She serves as state director for the NVFC serving as chair of their Conference Committee and a member of the Homeland Security and Communications Committees. She is also the NVFC representative on the FirstNET Public Safety Advisory Committee.

She is married to Heath, and they have two dogs—Chief and Spanner. In her spare time, she enjoys hunting and fishing.
