I found myself thinking about this shirt from last week.

I had the opportunity to help produce shirts for the Mississippi FFA State Convention.

What made it meaningful is that I served as Mississippi State FFA President in 1984–85.

Forty years later, it is pretty rewarding to walk into the convention and now serve as a trusted supplier to an organization that meant a lot to me growing up.

I had nothing to do with the artwork (which turned out great), but I’ll admit… seeing these shirts all over the convention felt pretty special.

Funny how things come full circle sometimes.

Not every day is meetings and emails.

Sometimes it is boxes to sort, deliveries to make, and projects headed where they need to go.

A lot happens between:

“Can you get this done?”

and the finished product showing up at the customer’s door.

Funny thing about event shirts…

People usually decide pretty quickly if it’s going to become a favorite…

The one they ignore for days… then suddenly decide they can’t live without again?

For Lucy, it’s Moose.

He disappears for a while, then randomly shows back up like he never left. Apparently, that’s just part of the process.

Tell me your dog’s favorite toy. 🐶

Funny thing about print…

When everything is right, nobody notices.

The manual is there.
The booklet looks good.
The forms work.
Everything arrives on time.

And frankly, that’s exactly how it’s supposed to work.

Ever wonder how booklets and manuals actually get put together?

This machine is called a saddle-stitcher.

It folds, assembles, and staples pages into finished booklets, programs, manuals, and catalogs.

Most people only see the finished product. I’ve always thought the process behind it was pretty interesting.
