Happy 2nd Birthday to The Awakening Tupelo.
🎉🎉🎉
We are thankful to have you all part of the Well family.
TWO YEARS AGO, THIS WAS JUST A QUIET SUNDAY MORNING AND A YES.
Two years ago today, Pastor Michael sat in a recliner inside the RV he and Amy were living in, looking out the door across their own property.
In a few hours, they'd load up and head to a rented room at The Well in Tupelo for the very first gathering of a church that didn't exist yet anywhere but in obedience.
No building of their own. No crowd yet. No proof it would work. Just a promise from God and a family willing to bet everything on it.
That's how The Awakening Tupelo began.
Michael often tells the story of that morning, and it still gets him every time.
Family driving in from everywhere. A room that could barely hold everyone who showed up. And a pastor who could hardly get the words out because his chest was so full of what God was doing in front of him.
That's what obedience looks like before anyone else can see the outcome.
It doesn't look like confidence. It looks like a man in a recliner on an ordinary Sunday morning, wondering what he'd gotten himself into, and standing up anyway to go lead a room full of people into something that had never existed before.
Pastors Michael and Amy didn't wait until it made sense. They didn't wait for guarantees. Already living life on the road in that RV, they said yes to a calling that asked for everything before it gave anything back.
And two years later, that first small rented room at The Well has become a church family that keeps growing because two people were willing to be uncomfortable first.
This is the heart behind our founding scripture, Romans 13:11: "Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed."
Not to wait for the perfect moment. Not to wait until the fear goes away. To wake up and move, trusting that the God who calls you is the God who carries you.
If you've ever felt God nudging you toward something that scares you, something that doesn't come with a guarantee, let Michael and Amy's story remind you that the yes always comes before the proof.
God doesn't ask you to see the whole plan. He asks you to trust the One who does.
Today, we're celebrating two people who traded comfort for calling, and a God who has been faithful to the vision He gave them every single step of the way.
Join us this Sunday as we celebrate two years of The Awakening Tupelo and thank God for the faithfulness that brought us here. Bring someone with you who needs to see what a "yes" to God can build.

Note from the social media team....
Please pray for us! These two are so humble that they will probably call soon, in "righteous anger," to ask us to take this down. Just kidding. They wouldn't do that. 😂
They've made it a point to let us know that they do not want to be the focus of this ministry and always point to Jesus.
That said, we truly want to honor our leaders and the vision the Lord gave them, which has changed lives and spurred growth among the members of this local body.
