July was a busy one. 😮‍💨🔥

Between the heat, the Stanislaus County Fair, vegetation fires and the day-to-day calls that don’t stop just because it’s fire season, our crews had plenty keeping them moving.

In July, Turlock Rural responded to 50 calls within our district, while continuing to work alongside our neighboring agencies through mutual aid.

And with August already well underway, summer isn’t slowing down anytime soon. 🚒

The last few days have been busy.

These photos and videos capture just a small part of Brush 46’s assignment on the Gann Fire. Our volunteers continue working alongside their strike team and our partner agencies as the incident progresses.

Just after midnight, Brush 46 responded as part of a strike team to the Gann Fire in Calaveras County.

Our crew is assisting alongside firefighters from across the state as they work to protect lives, property, and natural resources.

The forecast for the next several days is calling for triple-digit temperatures across our area.

Hot, dry conditions can increase the risk of grass fires, but a few simple precautions can make a big difference:

• Keep vehicles off dry grass.
• Secure trailer chains.
• Properly dispose of ci******es.
• Use caution with equipment that creates sparks.

If you see smoke or fire, call 911 immediately.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, and help us keep our community fire safe.

They’re hard at work supporting firefighting efforts on the Chute Fire, helping protect lives, property, and California’s wildlands.

Strike Team update… 🔥

Fire personnel with Strike Team XST4200C are doing well and putting in some work at the Chute Fire in Yuba County. During their first 24 hour assignment, they plumbed about 12,000 feet of hose line down steep terrain into the Yuba River drainage. After some rest, their second 24 hour assignment included some reconnaissance of the area to evaluate conditions and terrain and be ready to assist with the ongoing firefighting operations. We wish them well on their continued support of the firefighting operations.

Strike Team XST 4200C is composed of firefighters from Modesto Fire Department, Burbank Paradise Fire District, Denair Fire Department, Turlock Rural Firefighters’ Association and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.

The Chute Fire has burned 138 acres and containment is estimated at 15%.

Summer is heating up—and so is our call volume. 🔥

June brought 41 calls for service across our district, along with several opportunities to both provide and receive mutual aid. As we move deeper into the hottest, driest months of the year, we encourage everyone to do their part to help prevent fires and heat-related emergencies.
