Today, Turlock Rural firefighters competed in the Patterson Apricot Festival Firefighter Muster hosted by West Stanislaus Firefighters.

Crews earned 2nd place overall and took 1st place in the water ball competition. 🙌

These events are always a good mix of teamwork, friendly competition, and representing your department alongside other crews from around the region. Nice job out there today, everyone! 🤝

Today, we pause to remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to this country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend or a day off. It is a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy came at a cost carried by generations of service members and their families.

We honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and we remember them not just today, but always. 🇺🇸

For our Turlock Rural firefighters, this job is volunteer, but the commitment is real. The training, the sacrifice, the willingness to leave everything behind when the tones drop.

Today is Wildfire Community Preparedness Day.

You don’t need a big project. You just need to start.

If you’ve been putting it off, this is your friendly reminder:

🌾 Clear the dry grass.
🍂 Clean out the gutters.
🪵 Move wood piles and anything flammable away from your home.

These are the kinds of things that slow a fire down or stop it from reaching your house in the first place.

It doesn’t take much. It just takes doing it. 🙌

Behind every call for help, there’s a calm voice on the other end.

This week, we recognize National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week and the incredible team at Stanislaus Regional 911 who answer the call for Turlock Rural Fire.

They are the first point of contact on someone’s worst day. Gathering critical information, keeping callers steady, and making sure help is on the way without hesitation. Every second matters, and they never miss a beat.

While you may not see them on scene, their impact is felt in every response.

To the dispatchers at SR911, we see you and we appreciate you. Thank you for being the steady voice when it matters most. 💛📞
