Hoppers, hoppers, hoppers. We are hearing about grasshoppers in wheat, lentils, alfalfa, and pasture. We get it- crop prices are down, and it’s hard to put another dime into them. On the other hand, crops look great and are an investment worth protecting.

-Did you know...The economic threshold for spraying LENTILS is only 2 GRASSHOPPERS PER SQUARE YARD!?

-Grasshoppers will move into the crops more and more as the grass and headlands continue to dry up. Before long, they will be clipping heads and pods off.

-Some effective chemicals have as little as a 7 day pre-harvest interval, so we still have a big window for control.

-Keep the tracks out of the fields, and protect your yields!
