Did you know that there are 2 different kinds of Service Master? Well, there is!!! One does the disaster type of cleanup, fire, water, storm, etc and one does routine cleaning. We are so lucky to have both in our area. Another type of business, franchise, that is owned and operated by local people. They employ local people and help local people. They clean our office buildings and our businesses and they are there for you when disaster strikes. I've been involved with both ends and I can tell you the two franchise owner families in our area are top of the line!!!!!!! FLOODING AND HEAVY RAIN THIS WEEKEND ⛈️☔️

A strengthening nor’easter will bring coastal flooding, heavy rain, and wind to parts of the East Coast through the weekend. Wind gusts could reach 40 to 60 mph, while coastal areas could see 1 to 3 inches of rain, with higher totals possible along the Jersey Shore, Long Island, and coastal New England. The greatest coastal flooding concern will be around high tides tonight and tomorrow morning.

We may be looking at the strongest El Niño on record. On September 19, the key Pacific monitoring region reached 3.05°C above average, breaking the previous record set in November 2015. And there are still three months of potential strengthening ahead. The Pacific is running at a dramatically different pace than the Atlantic this year. The Eastern Pacific has already produced 16 named storms, exceeding its full-season average of 15, while the strengthening El Niño is helping create an environment favorable for continued Pacific activity.

The average peak date of the Atlantic hurricane season between 2016 and 2025 was eight days later than the historical average. It remains to be seen if this pattern will continue, but 2026 is likely to be another backloaded season.

🌧️ NOR'EASTER FLOOD RISK 🌧️

A weekend nor’easter could bring wind gusts up to 60 mph and more than 2 inches of rain across parts of New England Saturday and Sunday. Localized rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches are possible, with a high-end potential near 6 inches in areas like Boston. Coastal flooding is also a concern, with the Norfolk-to-Nantucket corridor the main zone to watch.

Last month, ServiceMaster of Salem, Eugene, Corvallis, & Lincoln City was one of the sponsored holes at the Corporate Shoot Out and Ironman Golf Marathon for the Boys & Girls Club of Salem, Marion and Polk Counties.

Companies and restaurants from the area competed in 10 unique skills challenges ranging from putting, chipping, and driving that centered around a fun, spectator-friendly, festival. All with the goal of raising donations for children grades 1-12 in the local community.

A rare Moderate Risk for flooding is in effect across parts of New Mexico for Tuesday and Wednesday, with repeated thunderstorms capable of producing more than 3 inches of rain in 6 to 12 hours. Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Roswell, Tucumcari, Alamogordo, Las Cruces, and El Paso should watch for potential significant flooding.
