NHS Management, LLC, in support of their affiliated skilled nursing facilities, was recently awarded the Brandon Hall Group Silver Award for Talent Acquisition. The recognition lands in the middle of a staffing crisis that has hit long-term care harder than almost any other industry. Staffing concerns are the number one issues for long-term care facilities striving to provide quality care.
NHS Management provides administrative, consulting and financial services to skilled nursing, rehabilitation and long-term care facilities across Alabama, Arkansas and Florida, and hiring is the constraint that determines how many residents those buildings can serve. The company's recruiting team rebuilt the process end to end. Applications moved to mobile interaction, so a nurse or aide can finish one from a phone in minutes. Hiring managers were given same-day candidate alerts, candidate evaluations and expedited hiring procedures.
Mike Dickinson, director of recruiting at NHS Management said, "Applying had to be easy enough that someone could finish it between shifts. And a hiring manager had to be able to move on a good candidate the same week, not three weeks later, because good candidates don't wait. We set out to make the candidate experience and the hiring experience pleasant interactions."
