This afternoon will be another high fire danger day. We are still under a burn ban, if you see smoke or fire report it.

Late evening structure fire in the area of S Timberline rd. Unfortunately the home was a total loss and was already fully engulfed upon arrive. Fortunately there were no injuries and quick response was able to keep the fire from spread to further structures and fields. We appreciate the assistance from City of Atoka, OK. Fire Department. , Atoka County E911, Atoka County EMS, Atoka County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies and Of course Dispatch. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers for their loss.

🔥 Please Use Extreme Caution With Outdoor Burning 🔥

With the current dry conditions, we strongly encourage everyone to refrain from burning whenever possible.

Even a small fire can quickly get out of control under these conditions, especially with dry vegetation. What starts as a controlled burn can become a dangerous wildfire in a matter of minutes.

When in doubt, don’t burn. Help us prevent wildfires and keep our communities safe. 🚒

Atoka County Fire Chiefs, along with all of our Emergency Responders, would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to Stuteville Ford of Atoka for their generous donation of water for our personnel!

During the hot summer months, our members go through a tremendous amount of water while serving and protecting our communities. Your donation provides much-needed support and means so much to our volunteers!

We would also like to thank the City of Atoka for allowing crews to assist with transporting the water to the Atoka Fire Station for distribution to our rural fire departments.

We truly appreciate the support of our local businesses, community, and partners who help keep our first responders hydrated and ready to serve. Thank you for supporting those who serve!
