Food plot is in and ready for seed. Our current job consisted of a 12 acre Aspen clear cut for thicker habitat for deer while also utilizing our dozer to create a 1/2 acre food plot strategically placed for prime shooting opportunities.

As everyone is hitting the woods for the 2024 deer season, we wanted to take the time to congratulate some of our youth hunters that were able to score big! Awesome job guys. Here at K&J, we stay in touch with a lot of our hunters we work with in helping improve their land for hunting by timber harvesting and a lot of them have been on early season doe management and are starting to push their efforts back to their target bucks as cold weather makes its way to Michigan. Good luck to all of you in the woods! May your arrows fly straight and true! Be safe everyone!

This is kind of an appreciation post. I will remind everyone who sees this, we are from Lower West Michigan. I want to thank all of our land owners, past, present, and future, that have given K&J the opportunity to help manage their timber and keep the land healthy and thriving. I want to also thank our equipment dealers for doing their best at keeping parts on the shelves and our machines running in the woods. Lastly, I would like to thank our K&J family and friends for all the support. We would not be able to do what we do day in and day out if it wasn’t for you!

Some of the crew got a chance to get out and do some scouting and get a couple set ups ready for the 2021 deer season. Hardest part was navigating the 2 year old aspen regrowth. Anyone else ready for October 1st?
