Is your battery inside on a charger? Do you have it plugged into a battery maintainer? Treat your gas before storage?
Let's clean those clutches & exhaust valves, check for leaks, checks belts and spark plugs, make appointments for recalls and warranty work. Check bushings, ball joints, hyfax, tracks/studs/carbides. Change chain case oil. All the things you don't want to do when it's cold and time to ride.

Make the most of your riding season. Don't cut it short due to mechanical failure. Put the money into your preventative maintenance, instead of paying for a recovery that could be avoided. You know your friends will make fun of you. Ruthlessly. For years.

While this post may seem well after the snowmobile season, in fact last year our last recovery was on May 27! With that said, I want to take a moment to say THANK YOU.
To everyone who called, supported, referred, & trusted Granite State Snowmobile Recovery this season — we truly appreciate it. Whether it was a quick pull-out or a long night recovery, we were proud to be there when you needed us.
This winter kept us busy across northern New Hampshire, and we’re grateful for every opportunity to help keep riders safe and moving.
We treat you like you’re local — and that doesn’t stop when the snow melts.
Stay safe, enjoy "maintenance season", and we’ll see you next winter. Don't forget that we are an independent AMSOIL INC. , Karyon, and Element dealer with a large inventory! Start getting ready for next season while it is enjoyable to do so!

This one was on Bear Notch Rd. in Bartlett, NH yesterday. It was warm, sled not far off the trail, and it runs! We just winched/pulled it back up to the trail, and the customer was able to drive it back to his truck.
This was a nice quick one, and the gentleman was on his way. It was nice speaking with you sir, and thanks for the call!

Yesterday's mission: retrieve a 30ish year old snowmobile from Lake Winnipesaukee, in Tuftonboro, NH. Knowing how warm it has been, with recent heavy rainfall, I knew this would not be an easy one. But as our customer stated, "Obi-Wan Kenobi, you're our only hope." And just like that, we were in. Fortunately, I was able to enlist the help of my eager (haha) son, Aiden for backup. With a very tight schedule that day, we wasted no time getting on the road.

We had experiences last year with multiple snowmobiles in slush that were quite challenging, so this one gave me flashbacks, and concern. I brought snow shoes along with extra recovery gear that might be needed.

Once hitting the lake, we drove through extremely soft, deep slushy terrain, until we reached the disabled snowmobile. We loaded and strapped it down very quickly, met with the customer, then proceeded back toward shore.

Now comes the challenges. Pulling all that weight, and taking on ALOT more as slush built up on the sled and toboggan, and the ski turning to drag and spray even harder, it slowed me down drastically. That Polaris Titan 850 earned every dollar I paid for it that day, never letting the slush or weight stop us. It pulled like a freight train, never quitting. It successfully got me off the lake safely, and I remembered why I insist on the big motor every time.

We made great time, and avoided any problems by having the right equipment such as the Titan, and the Karyon toboggan that distributed the weight of the machine and reduced drag, increased flotation over slush, and made the recovery possible. We sell these toboggans if it sounds like something that would help you, too.

Another successful recovery, and happy customer! Thanks again sir for your kind review!

Fun fact: the best time to buy a fire extinguisher for your powersports equipment is BEFORE the fire 🔥.

I feel like a jerk offering it after you've had a fire, but, sometimes that's what it takes to see the importance of having one.
Static electricity within fuel systems, leaking or seized brake components, and deferred maintenance often contribute to these fires. If you don't want to be sidelined for the whole season while you wait for your insurance to sort it out, save your machine and your season!

They're the size of a road flare, not affected by extreme temperatures, can be mounted to your sled with Elements accessories, or simply thrown in a gear bag.

$89.95 for the E50, $119.95 for the E100. 50/100 seconds of firefighting capability, respectively. BEST OF ALL THEY DONT RUIN YOUR SLED! It leaves no powder, residue, or liquid to clean up!

This is a no-brainer. I have them in stock. They are cheaper than an insurance claim or new sled. Contact me to get yours. 👍 603-327-6003
