Calling all business and property owners!!
***Business & Property Owners Invited to BID Boundary Discussion***
The Two Rivers Business Improvement District Board (comprised of seven local business owners) will meet on Thursday, May 21 to begin reviewing the current BID boundaries for the first time in 30 years.
The purpose of the review is to help ensure the long-term financial sustainability of the BID while continuing to support downtown beautification, marketing, special events, and economic development efforts.
Business owners, property owners, and community stakeholders located within or near the existing BID area are encouraged to attend this special public discussion meeting:
*Thursday, May 21, 2026
*12:00 PM
*Two Rivers City Hall โ 3rd Floor Council Chambers
This meeting is intended to gather public feedback, answer questions, and discuss how the BID may continue adapting alongside evolving commercial development patterns within the community.
We are hoping that many local business and property owners will attend, even if only for 30 minutes, to help shape this initial discussion and provide input as the BID Board begins forming its preliminary recommendation.
It is also important to note that this is only the beginning of a broader three-step public approval process. After the BID Board develops a recommendation, the proposal would then move to the Plan Commission for review, followed by final consideration by the City Council. Property owners and stakeholders will therefore have multiple opportunities throughout the process to provide feedback, help define potential boundary adjustments, and have their opinions heard.
**Is Changing BID Boundaries Unusual?***
No. Communities across Wisconsin periodically update BID boundaries to reflect neighborhood growth, new commercial development, and changing business patterns. In many cases, it is a positive sign of a district evolving through intentional long-term planning.
