On June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress replaced the British flag with the first American Flag. Even though this holiday had been observed for well over 100 years, it was not until, August 3, 1949, that President Truman signed legislation making June 14 the official recognized Flag Day.

If you are in the Tyler/Lufkin area, call now to have your flags installed before Flag Day which is June 14th.

Presidents’ Day is an American holiday celebrated on the third Monday in February. Originally established in 1885 in recognition of President George Washington, it is still officially called “Washington’s Birthday” by the federal government. Traditionally celebrated on February 22—Washington’s actual day of birth—the holiday became popularly known as Presidents’ Day after it was moved as part of 1971’s Uniform Monday Holiday Act, an attempt to create more three-day weekends for the nation’s workers. While several states still have individual holidays honoring the birthdays of Washington, Abraham Lincoln and other figures, Presidents’ Day is now popularly viewed as a day to celebrate all U.S. presidents past and present.

Your American flag will be on display six (6) times a year, President’s Day (February), Memorial Day (May), Flag Day (June), Independence Day (July), Labor Day (September) and Veteran’s Day (November). Flags are placed during the week prior to the holiday, removed and stored for you afterward. The flag will remain on display from Flag Day through July 4th. Flag service is available throughout the Tyler, Lufkin and surrounding areas. Flags can also be placed at the grave site of your loved one if allowed by the cemetery. Your flag will be made in the USA and we will not place a faded, torn or tattered flag.

The flag service is only $50.00 per year for one (1) flag placed for six (6) flag holidays. As a small token of our appreciation for their service to this great country we are happy to offer a 10% discount for our honored veterans or the families of our great active duty service men and women. A 10% discount is also available for additional flags at the same location.
