Sometimes incredible work is happening in our own community, and we simply haven’t done a good enough job of seeing it, celebrating it, and telling its story.

That’s why tonight mattered.

Black philanthropy has deep roots. For generations, Black communities have invested in one another, built institutions, created opportunities, and strengthened communities. That legacy is alive and well right here in Tyler.

Flourish was so proud to sponsor Legacy & Leadership and celebrate the philanthropists, business owners, nonprofit leaders, and families who continue to invest in East Texas.

And a huge shoutout to LaToyia Session and the Tyler Metro Chamber of Commerce for intentionally creating a space for these stories, this leadership, and this legacy to be seen and celebrated.

There was a bit of a snafu (thank you, Facebook!) and the time on our Picture Day event is off. Picture day is from **11:30 to 2:00** today! We're open, have coffee, wi-fi, and comfy chairs for anyone who wants to still come at 10:00 to cowork with us! Cameras will arrive at 11:30.
