Mendocino Redwood Company was proud to be part of Lake County Ag Days. Events like this give hundreds of local students the opportunity to learn firsthand about agriculture, natural resources, and the many people and industries that help support our communities. We enjoyed sharing the day with so many engaged students and seeing how much fun they had learning along the way.

A special thank you to our Community Engagement Manager, Eileen Russell, for representing us and helping make the day a great experience for students.

We had a great time at the 43rd Annual Salmonid Restoration Conference in Redding this past weekend. It was a valuable opportunity to connect, learn, and share more about the restoration work happening across our forestlands over the last two decades. Pictured here is John Andersen, our Director of Forest Policy, speaking with a conference attendee at our booth. We appreciate everyone who stopped by to connect with our team.

We’re proud to be part of this feature highlighting restoration work on Cooper Mill Creek within our forestlands.
This project focused on improving fish passage and rebuilding habitat by removing barriers, adding large redwood logs and rootwads, and creating off channel areas for refuge. These efforts help slow water, reduce erosion, and create the conditions salmon need to spawn and grow.

From hands on restoration to long term monitoring, this work reflects our commitment to healthy watersheds and working forests.

Cooper Mill Creek in Northern California was recently restored, and now scientists are monitoring river conditions to inform adaptive management.
