A friendly remind on Client Privacy:
Client privacy and confidentiality are always respected — regardless of personal relationships. Even when someone is a family member, information cannot be shared without proper authorization from the client or client’s legal representative! Protecting trust and confidentiality is not optional; it’s a professional responsibility.
So remember, when you call me asking questions about your loved one, if I don’t have you on file as authorized to give information I can only give generic educational information related to the services I provide.
Info I cannot give if you are not authorized:
-Bank account info (balances, acct numbers, ect)
-Where they are living or admitted to
Info I can give:
-Florida requirements for long term care Medicaid
-What services I provide
-What agencies you can contact if you have concerns
Thanks!
