3 Important Household Tips For This Extreme Cold Temperatures:

• Look for cold spots in your home near outside walls, roofs or windows. If there are pipes nearby, you might want to visit your local hardware store to ask about ways to insulate them. If the pipes get cold enough, the water inside will freeze. When water freezes, it expands, building up pressure and bursting pipes.

• Think about leaving cabinet or closet doors open during extreme cold if it will help to circulate heat around pipes and keep them warm.

• Leaving faucets running at a slow trickle will allow water to continue flowing through your pipe system, preventing freezing. This can be especially helpful if a faucet has pipes close to an outside wall.

We want to thank the Paramus Environmental Commission for inviting Leaf Group to their annual Earth Day Celebration. Most importantly we want to extend our special appreciation to Jorge E Quintana, Vice-President of the Paramus Environmental Commission, he is one of the most recognized real estate agents in the North Jersey area. Mr. Quintana does a wonderful job in putting time and efforts for his community. Mr. Quintana has been a long time resident in Paramus and every year he ensures the Earth Day Celebration Event is filled with new and exciting activities. Residents, businesses and the community come together to highlight the importance of our Mother Earth and to expose new ways to be more sustainable and green.

The Union Township Chamber of Commerce, Gala 2013 Recently, The Union Township Chamber of Commerce held their annual dinner dance, this year the “Jersey Strong, Chamber Proud Dinner”. A night filled with fun, amazing people, dozens of businesses, and many surprises. Leaf Group was awarded with the “New Member of the Year-Small Business Award” for our outstanding work and dedication to our community by Union Township Chamber of Commerce. We were also presented with the “Mayor’s Award” by Mayor Clifton People Jr. of The Township of Union, and with the “Senate & General Assembly Award” by Senator Lesniak, Assemblywoman Annette Quijano, and Assemblyman Joseph Cryan for our first year in business and our contributions to our Township. We were thrilled and honored with such exceptional recognition's by our Town representatives. This past year has been a wonderful experience for our team.
