Hard Apple Cider—How It’s Made

We start with the best Maine apples, pressed into fresh juice from local orchards. Then, we let the yeast do its thing, fermenting the juice into cider. But we’re not done yet—once fermentation wraps up, we add a little more yeast and just a touch of sugar before bottling. That second fermentation? That’s what gives our cider its crisp, natural fizz. The result? A sparkling, dry cider that’s as refreshing as a crisp fall day in Maine. Pairs perfectly with lobster, sweater weather, and a seat by the fire.

Last night, our Union winery & distillery was destroyed by fire. 💔 We are heartbroken, but so grateful our family is safe and our home was spared. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with kindness—it means the world as we face the days ahead. ❤️

Stepping off of the farm and into a wonderful evening for a great cause 🎨✨ We had the chance to attend an art fundraiser for UMaine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Tanglewood and UMaine 4-H Camp & Learning Center at Blueberry Cove art education programs. So nice to support creativity in our community and take a little time together. AND enjoy some local beverages too with Maine Root and Sacred Profane 💕
