Want to build the reputation with yourself that you can overcome the hard times in your life? Do some things that make you uncomfortable.
For me, the cold plunge has helped prime my brain during hard times in life that if I survived the cold water for 5 minutes, I can survive whatever I’m going through right now.
I hate the cold water and my brain goes straight to fight or flight mode when I’m in it, but I intentionally sit in that super uncomfortable 5 minutes and think about it. I don’t try to change it, or change my state by getting out. I just observe how I feel in that moment and know that it will pass, much like hard times in life.

Movement keeps you occupied but progress is what gives you the results.
