There was a moment on stage this week that stayed with me.

We talked about leadership, legacy, and the future of policing—but what resonated most wasn’t what happens in the role.

It was what happened after.

Because in public safety, the job becomes part of who we are.

And yet—we spend decades preparing people to lead in it… and almost no time preparing them for what comes next.

That must change.

I shared my mission that I believe is long overdue: “No More Firsts.”

No more women walking into leadership roles as “the only.”

No more leaders stepping away from the badge feeling unprepared, disconnected, or alone.

And here’s what comes next:
We build The Next Wave, The Line Breakers, The Continuum.

The leaders who won’t be the first—because we made sure they don’t have to be.

But this isn’t just about leadership pipelines.

It’s about building an ecosystem—one that supports the full arc of a career:

➡️ Navigating the pivot into what’s next
