Today, we’re celebrating the women who open their hearts, homes, and lives to dogs who become family. The ones who stay up late during emergencies, spoil them with treats and toys, plan their lives around potty breaks and walks, and love them unconditionally through every season of life.

Being a dog mom is more than cute photos and cuddles.
It’s advocacy.
It’s commitment.
It’s choosing compassion every single day.

To every woman who adopted, rescued, rehabilitated, fostered, supported, transported, donated, or simply loved a dog deeply — thank you. You are changing lives more than you know.

Dogs like Sharky are exactly why the Adopt Don’t Shop Movement exists.

Sharky was born with just three legs.

And yet—there is nothing limited about him.

He runs.
He plays.
He loves fully.

He shows up to life the same way every dog does… without hesitation.

What’s different isn’t his ability—
it’s how often dogs like him are passed up for something “perfect.”

While people search breeders for a specific look, dogs like Sharky are overlooked for something they were born with—something that doesn’t stop them from living full, happy lives.

Because disabilities don’t define them.
They adapt. They thrive. They live fully.

The only thing they need is someone willing to see them for who they are.

I just want to take a moment to thank every single one of you for being here and standing behind this movement by following us.

Everything we’re building — every program, every idea, every step forward — comes from one place: compassion for homeless pets. The ones wandering the streets. The ones sitting in shelters. The ones still waiting to be seen, to be chosen, to be loved.

In my lifetime, I want to see 1 million dogs adopted through the efforts of The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement.

We are only at the very beginning — just a small moment in time and I’m so grateful you’re part of it.

One of the programs closest to our heart at The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement is Dog Voyage.

This program was built on a simple belief: adoptable dogs deserve to be seen.

Too many incredible dogs sit in shelters and rescues without the visibility they need to find their people. Dog Voyage changes that by bringing them out into the world—giving them exposure, connection, and a real chance at adoption.

Our vision is to make Dog Voyage common.
To make adoptable dogs visible everywhere.
To make adoption more accessible—not just in one community, but across the country.

But to scale this mission, we need support.

We need funding to transport dogs, share their stories, and equip them with our signature Adopt Me harnesses so they can be seen wherever they go.

We need volunteers ready to step in as Voyagers—advocates who help these dogs get the exposure they deserve.

Because the more Voyagers who can say “Bon Voyage” to dogs on their journey home, the more lives we can change.

🚨 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT 🚨

After careful consideration… a few treats… and a very convincing stare…

We are proud to announce that Max has officially taken over as President of The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement. 🐶👑

Effective immediately, his platform includes:
✔️ Mandatory daily pup cups
✔️ Unlimited belly rubs
✔️ Walks scheduled every hour (non-negotiable)
✔️ Treat redistribution program (he gets them all)
✔️ And, of course… making adoption the only option 🐾

Max says his first official order of business is finding every dog a home… preferably one with snacks, a couch, and humans who work from home.

We fully support his leadership. Honestly… he’s probably more qualified.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER – HELP US CHANGE LIVES 🐾

The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement is growing, and we are building an incredible team of volunteers to help us bring adoption advocacy to Orange County and Las Vegas.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
Make adoption the only option.

Through community events, outreach, and partnerships with shelters and rescues, we are working to elevate adoption and connect more animals with loving homes.

But movements don’t grow without people who care enough to step forward.

We’re currently looking for volunteers who want to help with:

DOG VOYAGE: A Day of Adventure with Luna & Sadie

🐶 In partnership with Palms-N-Paws Animal Shelter

💜Powered by The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement

This week, we had the absolute honor of taking two incredible shelter pups—Luna and Sadie—on a Dog Voyage they’ll never forget. 🐾💜

Dog Voyage is one of our cornerstone programs at The Adopt Don’t Shop Movement—a life-changing initiative designed to give adoptable shelter dogs a day outside the kennel and a chance to be seen, experienced, and truly known. These field trips provide enrichment and exposure all while increasing a dog’s chances of being adopted.

For Luna and Sadie, this wasn’t just a break—it was a beautiful bonding adventure. We picked them up from the amazing team at 29 Palms & Paws Animal Shelter, and the day unfolded with:

🚗 Peaceful car rides filled with tail wags
🐾 Leisurely walks in nature and new environments
🦴 Attention, socialization and love galore
📸 Gorgeous photos that truly show who they are outside the kennel

Both girls were calm, sweet, and full of love. They were both amazing on leash, affectionate with us, and a joy to be around.

These girls are currently available for adoption, and we’re doing everything we can to make sure their forever families find them. 💜
