No tricks here, just the honest year-end question:

How does your practice want to finish?

If the answer is "with a team that's aligned instead of exhausted" → the Leadership Audit is your move. There's still time for it to shape December.

If the answer is "more visible and better connected going into 2027" → the CONNECT Discovery Call is yours. Q4 relationships become Q1 growth.

Either path beats drifting to December 31 and calling it a plan.

𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗽𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲𝘀: 🎃

The single highest-warmth community event of the fall isn't a gala or a chamber mixer. It's the humble trunk-or-treat.

Think about what's actually happening there: hundreds of local families, relaxed and unhurried, meeting your team in the friendliest possible context. No waiting room nerves. No sales dynamic. Just your people, being people.

Practices that work these events well:

✔ Bring the team, not just a banner
✔ Hand out something useful with the fun (yes, dentists CAN give candy, plus a brush)
✔ Collect nothing, just be memorable and findable
✔ Post the recap so the warmth reaches families who weren't there

One evening. Hundreds of family impressions. That's visibility math worth doing.

𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 🏘

One practice buys the biggest billboard on the highway. Another one sponsors the youth league, knows the pharmacist by name, shows up at the fall festival, and gets mentioned in three neighborhood Facebook groups a week.

Guess which one the community calls "our" practice.

Trust isn't purchased in ad units. It's accumulated in small, consistent appearances, the kind that never feel like marketing because they aren't. They're presence.

The quiet practices aren't being passive. They're playing the longer, stronger game.

▪ The break room has entered its pumpkin-spice era
▪ Someone already proposed the team Halloween costume (it's controversial)
▪ The schedule is somehow both fully booked AND full of holes
▪ Every patient conversation now includes "before the holidays"
▪ The benefits-deadline calls have begun

If your practice is nodding along, you're in good company. Fall is beautiful chaos in healthcare.

So, settle the debate for us: is your team a "coordinated group costume" practice or a "wear orange and call it festive" practice? 🎃

The practices that end the year well are doing four unglamorous things right now:

1️⃣ Mapping December capacity BEFORE the benefits rush hits the phones
2️⃣ Deciding holiday schedules early, so the team can actually plan their lives
3️⃣ Reviewing what 2026 taught them while the year is still observable
4️⃣ Blocking January planning time now, because January never volunteers it

None of this is exciting. All of it is why some practices glide through Q4 while others white-knuckle it.

Ten weeks left in the year. Plenty, if you start this week.

BEFORE: The practice attends two or three events a quarter. Conversations are pleasant, cards are exchanged, nothing happens next. Community awareness stays flat. "We tried networking, it doesn't really work."

AFTER six weeks of systemized follow-up: Every contact hears from the practice within days. Referral partners get useful check-ins, not sales pitches. The practice's name starts coming up in rooms it isn't even in.

Same events. Same people. Same practice.

The only variable that changed: what happened AFTER the handshake.

Networking doesn't fail. Follow-up-free networking fails.

"This place would fall apart without you."

That's not a compliment. That's a diagnosis.

If your practice can't run a smooth Tuesday without you in the building, you don't have a leadership presence, you have a dependency.

The bosses worth celebrating build the opposite:

▪ Decisions the team can make without asking
▪ Standards that live in documents, not in one person's head
▪ People who've been trained INTO authority, not held under it

The goal of great leadership is a practice that runs beautifully, and misses you for the right reasons.

You know the one. Business cards from the spring gala. A lead sheet from that health fair. Napkin numbers from a chamber lunch. All people who liked your practice, all relationships that went quiet.

Every practice has that drawer. It's not neglect, it's what happens when follow-up depends on finding a spare hour that never comes.

Here's the reframe: those contacts aren't dead. Fall is the perfect re-warming season:

📬 "Great meeting you this summer, how did that project turn out?"
🤝 "We're planning Q4 partnerships, coffee?"

A three-line message revives more relationships than you'd think.

The holiday bonus is not a culture strategy.

We've watched practices hand out generous December checks to teams already halfway out the door, and watched modest practices keep people for a decade. The difference was never the bonus. It was the other eleven months.

What teams actually remember at year-end:

▪ Whether their concerns got heard in March, not just rewarded in December
▪ Whether the schedule respected their lives all year
▪ Whether feedback was a system or an ambush
▪ Whether the leader they saw in week 2 was the same one in week 42

By all means, give the bonus. Write the card. Throw the party. Just know they're the punctuation, not the sentence.

2027's culture starts in January, not at the holiday dinner.

Healthcare has a quiet rule nobody wrote down: caregivers don't get to struggle.

So here's some written permission for practice owners and their teams:

You're allowed to find running a practice heavy some weeks. You're allowed to need the same care you give. You're allowed to build a schedule that protects your people's energy, including yours. And you're allowed to say "we're stretched" before it becomes "we're breaking."

A practice's culture is set by what its leader models. Rest included.

If the heaviness is more than seasonal, please reach out to a mental health professional. That's strength, not failure.
