Would you want to help collect important plants for Tribal Secure Seed Storage? What are the top 15 subsistence plants?
You might remember Dr. Claire Friedrichsen and Dr. Sire Kassama who worked on the salmonberry project last year. They are helping Nalaquq, LLC with the development of a Tribal Secure Seed Storage Project. This project will help ensure our plants and plant food resources are available for the next generation. But we would like your input on which plants should be included.
The photos included in this post are the ones we have some information on the timing of when we would collect seeds. Please comment below about any other plants we should prioritize collecting and information on the timing to harvest seeds for any other plants. Contact Lynn Marie [email protected] or Sire with any questions, we will be at the cultural center (museum) this week. Quyana!
