Sunshine Legal Pro, LLC Law Firm Growth Partner | Fractional COO | Legal Tech | Billing Services

23/10/2026

Heading to Boston for this week, and I'm going in with three questions:

1. Where is AI actually changing how firms bill, and where is it just a demo?

2. Which automations are firms sticking with after the first 90 days?

3. How are growing firms adding structure without adding overhead?

I spend most of my time inside law firm operations, from billing workflows to Gavel automations to the processes nobody has written down yet. ClioCon is where I see what's working across hundreds of firms at once.

If you'll be there October 26–27, let's compare notes. Send me a DM and we'll find a time.

I’m hiring for a Litigation Paralegal (Estates) 📣

As COO of Sudden Wealth Protection Law, I’m looking for an experienced paralegal to join the firm and support probate administration and probate/trust litigation matters across Arizona. You’d be working alongside Paul E. Deloughery, a probate attorney with 25+ years of experience and someone I’ve seen bring both real skill and real compassion to families in conflict.

This role is for someone who can own a caseload. You’ll keep matters moving from opening through closing, hit every deadline, and flag issues before they become problems. Strong performers will have a path to serving as Case Manager on their own matters.

What I’m looking for:
✔️ 5+ years of litigation experience
✔️ 3+ years handling probate matters end to end (Arizona preferred)
✔️ Strong drafting, calendaring, and client communication skills
✔️ Comfort with technology: Clio, Box, document automation, and AI tools

The details:
📍 Phoenix-based hybrid (2–3 days in office), remote considered for the right candidate
💼 Full-time | Starting at $65,000/year
🎁 PTO, health insurance, 401(k), bonus incentives, and a free estate plan for you and your close family

If you’re a proactive paralegal who wants meaningful work helping families through some of their hardest moments, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to share this with anyone in your network who’d be a great fit!

Say what you mean and mean what you say.

I'll be honest: the first half isn't always my strong suit on the spot. Sometimes it takes me a second try to say exactly what I mean.

The second half I've got covered.

If I tell you I'm going to do something, it's noted, calendared, and tagged. Not "I'll circle back." Not "let me think on it." It's in the system with a date attached.

That isn't a personality trait. It's a habit backed by a process, and it's the same thing I help law firms build.

Most follow-through problems I see in firms aren't about intent. Everyone means what they say on the call. The promise just doesn’t get captured anywhere. No task, no date, no owner. So it lives in someone's head until it doesn't.

Good intentions don't scale. Systems do.

If your firm's follow-through depends on someone simply remembering, let's fix that.

I work with managing partners and firm administrators who already know something needs to change. They're just too deep in the day-to-day to fix it themselves — and that's not a knock on them, that's just what running a firm looks like.

Estate planning, probate, family law, personal injury, immigration, business, litigation, bankruptcy — the practice area matters less than whether billing, staffing, or process is running you instead of the other way around.
If that sounds familiar, I'd like to hear about it.

What's the one thing you'd fix first if you had the bandwidth?

Let's have that conversation: https://app.lawmatics.com/forms/share/06ddf19f-0928-4769-8937-295daa5fdbca

Four ways I actually work with law firms, no fluff:

Strategy & Advisory — an outside, experienced look at how your firm runs, with a real plan attached

Fractional COO — I don't just tell you what to fix, I implement it with your team
Billing Specialist — daily time entry review, consistent collections, bills that actually go out on time

Automation & Tech — get the tools you're already paying for actually configured and used

Most firms only need one of these to start. First conversation is where we figure out which one.

Which of these is your biggest gap right now?

Let's talk: https://app.lawmatics.com/forms/share/06ddf19f-0928-4769-8937-295daa5fdbca

People ask why I started Sunshine Legal Pro, and the honest answer isn't dramatic: I loved this work too much to keep doing it for just one firm.

I started as a paralegal doing intake and billing — personal injury, family law, probate, a little of everything. Over the years I moved into running the business side of a firm, then helped open another one. I wasn't unhappy or stuck — I got to build real things and make real decisions. But at some point I realized I wanted to do that work from my own seat, for more than one firm at a time, on my own terms.

So I went off on my own. Now I do the same work — billing, operations, tech — just for firms who need someone who's actually sat in the chair, not someone consulting from outside it.

What made you decide to build something of your own?

If you're building yours, let's talk: https://app.lawmatics.com/forms/share/06ddf19f-0928-4769-8937-295daa5fdbca

Ask Steph: "What if we're just not ready yet?"

This is the one I hear most, and it almost never means "we don't need this." It usually means "we don't know where to start."

That's exactly why I don't ask anyone to commit to a big engagement first. We start small — a flat-fee, no-strings look at what's actually going on, so you know what you're dealing with before you invest in fixing it.

What would "ready" actually look like for you?

You know what's kind of rare? I actually love my job. Some days I want to beg people to hire me just so I can fix things — because I genuinely love doing it that much.

Hi, I'm Stephanie. I work with a small team of three who I've personally trained to handle billing, ops, and tech needs for law firms.

Here's my ask: we're looking to take on two more firms. That's it — two. Spots are limited on purpose, because we block off the time your firm actually needs, whether that's a one-time project or ongoing support. You won't be one of forty clients getting the same templated fix. We learn your firm, build custom training materials, and meet with you directly on every deliverable — so you're not paying for work you'll never actually use.

If that sounds like what you've been looking for, let's talk.

Ask Steph: "Isn't this an expensive add-on?"

I get asked this a lot, and I always say the same thing: don't look at the invoice, look at what the gap is already costing you. I've seen firms with outstanding balances that quietly grow every month because there's no consistent collections process — that adds up to a lot more than what a billing specialist costs.

The real question isn't "can we afford this." It's "what is not having this costing us."

Have you ever actually run the numbers on what a billing gap costs your firm?

I'll help you run that math: https://app.lawmatics.com/forms/share/06ddf19f-0928-4769-8937-295daa5fdbca
