Congratulations sir it was a pleasure working with you over the years. Enjoy your retirement
Twinsburg firefighter/paramedic Kevin has worked his final shift as a career member of the Twinsburg Fire Department.
Transcript from Twinsburg dispatch's final call:
Kevin started serving our community in 1988 as a fulltime employee with Twinsburg Park & Recreation Department. He joined Twinsburg Fire in June of 1992 as a part time firefighter and was hired on as a career firefighter on June 2, 1996, giving him over 31 years of total service with the fire department and 35 years in total with the city.
Along with his extensive fire and EMS training, firefighter Luskin earned an associate’s degree in fire sciences from the University of Akron and his Fire Safety Inspector certification. Kevin not only was responsible for the important role of vehicle equipment inventory and placement, but was also a department driver training instructor. As the long time Vice President of Twinsburg Firefighters Local 3630, Kevin took his role very seriously and worked hard to ensure firefighter safety and staffing were priorities of the department. He has mentored and coached countless firefighters of Twinsburg Fire.
As a second generation firefighter, Kevin is the son of Michael Luskin, a career firefighter for the City of Lyndhurst who sadly passed away in 2007 and we know that Mike would have been so proud of his only son’s stellar career with Twinsburg Fire. We already know that Kevin’s wife Deb, son Liam and his entire family are equally as proud.
Kevin, we cannot thank you enough for the years of dedicated service, your valued input, the coaching, mentoring of our new firefighters and the comradery with your Brothers and Sisters. The respect that you bestowed upon everyone that you made contact, especially our community members never went unnoticed.
We wish you nothing but great health and happiness in your retirement. Godspeed.
