*As of Fall of 2025-- We are returning to providing service to existing customers only, with the exception of customers needing repairs under manufacturer warranty. If you're not an existing customer, we suggest calling the manufacturer of your appliance to help find a authorized local service company to complete your repair instead.
*We service a wide range of household name brands including GE,

LG, Frigidaire, Electrolux, KitchenAid, Whirlpool, Maytag, Subzero, Bosch, Thermador, and Fisher Paykel.
*We are factory authorized for warranty repairs for most of the above brands, except Whirlpool, Maytag, KitchenAid, and Subzero.
*We do NOT service Samsung Appliances as we no longer receive technical support or parts diagrams.

Hello all! Just dropping in with a little tidbit of info that may be helpful to some folks. With the extreme cold we've faced recently, we have received a ton of calls regarding washing machines and dishwashers either not filling with water or not draining. If your appliance is installed on an exterior wall, double check your pipes to make sure they're not frozen before calling a plumber or requesting appliance service. A few of our customers have had great luck with opening cabinets to allow heat underneath the sink, or placing an additional source of heat nearby for a few hours to get things moving again. As always, please be mindful of heater placement as to not warp or burn the appliance or anything around it. In addition, frozen pipes may also leak once thawed, in which case a plumber is recommended. Wishing everyone warm thoughts while we countdown the days until Spring! :)

Hello Frederick Fam! A little update for the New Year. 2026 came in quickly, along with lots of changes for Hyssong Appliance! We are no longer at our Frederick location on Monocacy Boulevard as of January 1. While we're still providing service in Frederick County, office staff is now 100% remote. Our phone number has remained the same, and is now also able to receive text. We've eliminated a few of the other phone numbers that we've had in the past that were used for text to try and streamline requests. 301-662-3720 is the one and only line now for service requests.🙂
A more recent update- Due to last week's phone outage, we're a little behind with returning calls. We've also noticed that many voicemails left we're totally blank with no call back number, assumingly due to the widespread outage. If you called last week and have not received a call back yet, please try again now that phones seem to be working again. We appreciate everyone's patience and well wishes while we made this big move, and wish everyone a happy, healthy, prosperous New Year! ❤️

Hi everyone! Just an update on what to expect for the next few weeks. To keep our services reasonably priced, we've decided to move the business to a private residence and are currently in the process of doing so. Our last day at the Patrick East Business Center will be December 31st, 2025. Our new mailing address is P.O. Box 245. Thurmont, MD 21788. Our physical presence at our current location will be limited until this transition is complete. Not selling parts or appliances in over 20 years has influenced this decision, as we not longer need a brick and mortar building and the overhead that comes with it. In-home repair will continue, along with offering new services that will be implemented soon. Please check our page for updates. If you're in need of parts for a do-it-yourself repair, we recommend using Trible's located at 179 Thomas Johnson Drive. Their phone number is 301-662-1222. Make sure to have your model number handy when calling! We appreciate your patience during this transition, and look forward to servicing your appliances for many years to come! :)

Happy Fall, Frederick Fam! In an effort to keep our customers up to date on news and changes at Hyssong Appliance, we will be utilizing Facebook more to keep everyone in the know. We have some big changes coming this fall; To continue to provide a quick turnaround time for service requests, we've had to make the unfortunate decision to return to servicing existing customers only. We've recently received news that one of our two technicians has excepted a new position elsewhere, and while we're incredibly proud and happy for him regarding this change, we need to lighten the load to ensure our customers are taken care of in a timely manner. We will continue to provide the same quality of service that you've received for many years, in the same fashion that Pop Hyssong started 53 years ago with one technician, just without the old station wagon full of parts! We're currently booking out to the week of October 27th, but should be caught up soon with this change. We love and appreciate you all SO much, and look forward to continuing to service your appliances in the future. ❤️

Hello Frederick Fam! We are experiencing the usual Summer Slam and are currently working through a back log of new service requests. As many of our customers know, we're a small family owned business with only 2 technicians and 2 office staff members, which can be tricky with such a high volume of service requests. To try and get on top of scheduling, we have decided to close phone lines for the remainder of the week for new service calls only. If you've called before today, July 1st, to request service, your call will be returned in the order in which it was received. If this is a time sensitive matter, we suggest calling the manufacturer of your appliance for a list of authorized servicers in your area. We strive to be back to normal operation on Monday July 7th, if not sooner. We TRULY appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to get back on top! 🖤

Happy New Year, Frederick Family! A note to all of our customers-- Our family was blessed with a GI bug for Christmas that we're all just getting over. We're catching up on all of the missed calls and texts, but are still fairly behind. We're hoping to be caught up very soon now that we're germ free!

Hello everyone! We've been without phone and internet for quite awhile today while Xfinity does maintenance/lays new cable. There was no notice given for this maintenance, nor was there a timeline provided for completion. We're hoping to be back online soon! We appreciate your patience.

Good afternoon, Frederick Family! Yesterday we received news that one of our technicians tested positive for Covid. Considering our fleet currently consists of two technicians, this has put a major damper on scheduling. We've had to make the unfortunate decision to not take any new service calls for the remainder of the week so that we can get caught up on all pending repairs that needed to be rescheduled due to sickness. We truly appreciate our customers' patience and understanding during this time. :)

Good morning! The phone issue continues, but we've narrowed down the problem! Essentially, we have one operating phone line currently, therefore when we're using said phone line, our rollover line isn't doing it's job and picking up the call. I'm on hold with our provider now to get this resolved. If you call in and get an odd message about not being reachable at this time, just give us a moment and try again! We apologize for the inconvenience!
