Before Q'Straint was a company, it was a research project.
In 1978, Professor Henk Wevers and his team Smith Engineering at Queen's University set out to solve a critical problem: how to safely secure wheelchair passengers in transit. Their work would ultimately become the foundation of Q'Straint - and even inspired the "Q" in our name.

At today’s STN Expo West Advanced Securement Training, attendees jumped into troubleshooting the most difficult mobility devices on the market. To wrap things up, we put their expertise to the test with a securement quiz!
