“But Arizona is dry… how can we have mold?” 🌵

It’s a question we hear all the time — and the answer is more complicated than you might think.

Different molds can show up in Arizona homes for very different reasons. Some are naturally present in our outdoor air. Some are better adapted to dry conditions. Others can be a clue that moisture is getting somewhere it shouldn’t.

And simply seeing a mold name on a report doesn’t tell you the whole story.

Where was it found?
What’s happening indoors compared to outdoors?
Is there a moisture source?
Is there a pattern pointing to something hidden?

The mold itself is a clue. Understanding why it’s there is where the real investigation begins.

Swipe through for 5 molds we commonly encounter in Arizona and what their presence can tell us. 🌵🐾

Whatever you think of the guy, he’s right about this one.

Mold is not just an ugly wall. It’s a health problem, and it has been ignored for way too long.

Brain fog, sinus stuff that never clears, asthma that won’t settle, kids who are always sick. A lot of families in the Valley are living with this and have no clue the house is the reason.

Here’s the catch, most “free mold inspections” are done by the company that wants to sell you the remediation. Guess what they always find.

K9 Mold is inspection only. We don’t remediate, so we have zero reason to scare you. Dolly sniffs it out, the InstaScope reads the air in real time, and you get a straight answer either way.

Good to see this getting national attention. Now let’s fix it one house at a time.

Ever notice you feel better after a few days away from home? That’s worth paying attention to.

Arizona rain doesn’t stick around for long, but the moisture it leaves behind can reveal problems that are easy to miss during our dry weather.

After a storm, hidden leaks and areas of water intrusion may become easier to identify. And when moisture returns to areas with existing mold, it can create conditions for renewed microbial activity.

That’s where Dolly’s nose & Wes’s tools come in. Together, they help follow the clues and identify areas that may need a closer look.

Rain in the forecast or recent rainfall? It’s worth taking a closer look.

Every home tells a story, you just have to know how to read the clues.

In this home, one clue led to another and ultimately to an A/C unit where installation issues created conditions that contributed to mold growth.

Sometimes what you see is only part of the story. Let us follow the clues and help you get answers 🐾🏠

1,500. that’s the highest voc reading i’ve ever pulled, and it was inside a containment.

vocs are the gases coming off the stuff in your house. paint, new floors, cleaners, and mold when it’s active. inside a containment that number can be the mold itself or the products being used to treat it. either way it’s invisible, and without a live reading nobody knows it’s there.

most mold inspections bring an air pump and a lab form. we bring dolly and the instascope, one of two in arizona. it reads the air live, room by room. mold, bacteria, pollen, vocs, co2, dust. before anyone opens a wall.

if your kid can’t shake a cough, or you feel better every time you leave the house, and nobody can tell you why, call or text me. 480-444-8775. we check for more than just mold.

ever lived somewhere that smelled fine and still made you feel awful?
