No one goes to the grave wishing they had spent more time in the office. Too many business owners sacrifice their mental and physical health, family relationships, and friends in pursuit of their business goals.

3 Mindset shifts to reach your goals

Change is scary. Doing something outside of your comfort zone can feel scary. But if you want to reach your goals and you’ve failed in the past, that means something has to change and it all starts with your mindset.
Today, we’re discussing 3 mindset shifts to help you reach your goals.
Did you know that we have approximately 75,000 thoughts per day and about 92% of those are the same as the day before? Yup! We think the same thoughts over and over. No wonder, it can feel impossible sometimes to reach new goals when we are repeating the same thought process day after day.
If you want to reach your goals, you’ve got to change the way you’re thinking first. It all comes down to mindset. It’s the difference between reaching your goals and feeling like it’s impossible to achieve them.
The 3 critical mindset shifts to reach your goals are:
Rewrite your story- have you ever found yourself saying something like “that’s great that worked for her, but I just don’t have the self-discipline to do it” or “I’ve tried all of that in the past, but I just can’t do it”.
I’ve got news for you- that’s just a story, a false belief that you tell yourself. It’s not the truth! The story you tell yourself about who you are and what you can potentially achieve, how much money you can earn or whether you could have a successful relationship or not are stories that we tell ourselves in our head, they’re not reality!
All of these stories that you tell yourself are limiting you from achieving what you really want. The good news is your story can change! YOU have the power to change it!
Change that story that you tell yourself. It won’t happen overnight and you will have to keep reminding yourself everyday until it’s ingrained into your mind, but whatever you tell yourself will be what you believe about yourself, so take some time to write down your new story and read it to yourself every single day until you start to believe it!
Decide everyday to take 3 small steps toward your goals. Small, consistent changes gradually add up and you’re more likely to stick with it than you are if you change everything at once. If you make too many changes all at once, you’re more likely to become stressed and overwhelmed and then beat yourself up when you fall off track.
Take time to visualize your goals everyday. Take just 5 minutes to close your eyes and envision what your life looks like once you’ve achieved your goals. If your goal is to fit into your favorite jeans, imagine what the day looks like. Imagine yourself looking in the mirror and feeling good. Imagine getting compliments from your friends. If your goal is to go on vacation, visualize every aspect of that vacation, what will the weather be like, where will you visit while you’re there, what restaurants will you eat at? Think of all of the details of your goal and make it feel real to you!

We are almost to the end of the first quarter of 2021. Are you achieving what you set out to do? Did you make goals or resolutions?

Resolutions do not work and they also imply an end to something.

Instead, write down your goals. They can be personal, professional or both.

But if you do not write then down and plan them out, be resolved to not achieve.

Do you feel like you’re treading water with your business and not making progress towards your goals?

Or are you having trouble choosing business goals to work toward this year in the first place? Every entrepreneur wants to own a successful and profitable business, but it's not always clear how to get there.

If you want your business to be more profitable than ever before, over the next several weeks I am going to share some suggestions for how to make it happen. And remember: Building a successful business is a marathon, not a sprint.

1. Focus on Customer Service

According to a study by NewVoiceMedia, 51% of customers will not repeat business with a company after a bad service experience. Other studies have shown that it takes several positive customer experiences to make up for one negative one.

Given that loyal customers make a much easier sell, make good customer service a priority. Examine your current customer service and make the changes that need to be made to ensure that your small business is providing service superior to that of your competitors.

You may need to invest in staff training, revamp your office policy, or make basic improvements such as responding promptly to voicemails or emails from customers.

One thing we always work on and practice is HOW we are answering the phone. The PROCEDURE never changes.

My team must put on a smile and say the same thing EVERY TIME they answer the phone:

What is your team saying? Your front desk is the first line of contact with your office and your business. Are you leaving a good impression?

Have an unwavering resolution to succeed

I am sure there are others on here who have felt the same way, so I am in no way saying I am the only one to have this story....

I have been an underdog my whole life. People, including my parents, underestimated me. I know my parents never thought I would go to college, let alone grad school and post-grad. I even remember my undergrad counselor saying to me my degree was no big deal as I was just gonna get married and pump out some kids, the degree wasn't really necessary. No joke, that really happened.

In Chiro school my business plan got laughed out of class and I was told the business would never succeed and I had to re-write one that would.

I couldn't get a loan to open my practice..

All of those things are what pushed me to prove everyone wrong. Tell me I can't do something and I will follow it up with "hold my beer".

You have got to have conviction ( I don't like the word resolution). If you have conviction, a true desire to your core, you will succeed.

The TRUTH about GROWING YOUR PRACTICE
I have been seeing this everywhere and I can't stay silent about it any longer!
“You just need more NP”
“You gotta offer free..”
“Tell the story..”
“Educate more…”
“We do the work for you so all you need to do is focus on giving the best adjustment…”
Please do not listen or take this to heart, because this information is not 100% true.
Yes, it may work every once in a while, but for the majority of the time, it is just a "quick fix" and doesn't work long term.
> Unless you have ZERO new peeps walking in the door, you don’t necessarily need more, you just need to know how to get the ones in your office to say YES to your services. You certainly don’t need to give away your services, where is the value in that? Why would you GIVE AWAY your adjustment?
Someone once told me I needed to offer a “free first adjustment” to get them in the door and “sample my services”. WTF?
First off, I don’t know that new person from Adam. I need intel in the form of a proper examination and X-Rays (you wouldn’t believe the S&*T I see on Xray which will absolutely direct patient care).
Secondly, nobody has the time or the mental fortitude for processing 10-20 NP who are just there for the “free adjustment”. What a soul crusher. Wouldn’t you rather have people in your office who are salivating for what you have to offer them, WITHOUT you having to “tell the story louder or educate more?”
People are highly educated now-a-days with them internets, google and WebMD. They already know what’s wrong. They just want to know WHY and CAN YOU FIX IT?
> If you truly want to grow your practice with people who want to be there, you must learn to communicate with them on their level. They don’t want ADIO, or a dissertation on Chiropractic, YET. They want to know that you REALLY listened to them, they want to feel CONFIDENT that you know WHAT is wrong with them and HOW to get them results. Once you know how to do that, you are on the road to greatness.
