IBR's Wings of Iowa: A Celebration of Birds! Iowa Bird Rehabilitation Gala is this Saturday. If you were on fence, check out their website for details and all the auction items can be previewed there. Silent auction items are at the event only.

Come hear Joel Sartore, National Geographic Explorer and photographer and see how he is building a photo ark one species at a time. From the smallest snail to the largest elephant and everything in between, including some of the world’s rarest birds. Iowa Bird Rehabilitation is honored to host National Geographic Photo Ark founder Joel Sartore to share his experiences and mission in conservation through his photography.

All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly towards caring for birds at Iowa Bird Rehabilitation. So come see some amazing photographs and hear amazing stories and making a huge impact for a local nonprofit.

Kolbe is not just for adults. There is the Student Aptitude Quiz (SAQ) for kids 10-18. At Des Moines Children's Museum, we had several kids take the SAQ and are able to compare their results to the parent that took the Kolbe A Index. Which family members are alike in the way they take action, which one's have differences and how to not diminish their natural instinct thinking it is a lack of effort and who is still figuring it out? Knowing your child's M.O. can help parents be better advocates, clarify communications, and set better boundaries and goals. Kolbe Corp

Conative cloning happens when your people have a lot of the same strengths. People tend to like people that work similar to themselves. Sometimes when you have too much of the same energy things can get stuck, dulled or even overwhelmed by not having a diverse energy make up on your team.
