GSS would like to extend a huge ‘Thank You’ to all of the Board Members, Committee Members, Volunteers, and Attendees who made last week’s MoKan Wireless Association Social and Golf Outing a huge success! It was wonderful to connect with new friends and old, discuss industry trends, and partnerships. GSS was proud to sponsor the brat stand and help golfers stay fueled for the round.

We are incredibly proud of Sharla Bates who serves as the MoKan Secretary and is passionate about serving others in our industry. Shaun Hemsted and Lauren Goff were enthusiastic to represent GSS and look forward to following up with those we met along the way.

We’re excited to be part of MOKAN’s annual social and charity golf tournament this Wednesday and Thursday, October 8-9 alongside so many industry friends. GSS is proud to serve as this year’s Brat Sponsor, keeping golfers fueled with snacks throughout the day!

Nothing brings people together like good food and a great rivalry! Our team celebrated the Iowa vs. Iowa State game with a fun lunch in the office. It was a perfect mix of team bonding, laughter, and amazing food. Always a win when we can spend time together outside the usual routine!

For Earth Day, our team members Kristina Campbell and Patrick Teff volunteered in Des Moines as part of Earth Day Trash Bash, Iowa’s largest Earth Day volunteer event.

They spent the day removing invasive honeysuckles to help restore natural habitats and give native plants a chance to thrive again. It’s hands-on work like this that keeps our local ecosystems healthy and resilient.

We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together to care for the environment and make a lasting impact across the Des Moines metro.

Nothing feels better than when your job helps a community in real and tangible ways. GSS’s Cultural Resources team is grateful to help a local internet service provider and fiber infrastructure company reach the community of Poplarville, Mississippi with high-speed fiber internet. GSS was hired to provide a large-scale Archaeological survey and Cultural Resources reporting compliant with NTIA and State Historic Preservation Office requirements. While in the field, we had the opportunity to meet many curious neighbors who are enthusiastic about the future of their family’s connectivity. Can you dig it? What an amazing time with TXWA – Texas Wireless Association last week! Alex Novak and Lauren Goff represented our team, and we are thrilled to share that Lauren was the lucky winner of both the Women’s Longest Drive and Women’s Closest to the Pin! Lauren is passionate about empowering women in business to feel confident of the golf course, knowing how valuable those connections can be. It was a fantastic opportunity to network and build relationships while enjoying some golf.
