🚨 WHY IS THIS BEE REMOVAL HAPPENING IN THE DARK?🚨🐝

Upstairs bedroom.
Bee suit on.
Bee removal underway.
Lights OFF. 💡❌

Nope… I haven’t lost my mind. 🔦

There’s actually serious bee strategy happening here!

🐝 Honey bees naturally orient toward light—think about the way they instinctively navigate their surroundings using the sun.

So when I’m removing a colony from inside a wall, keeping the room dark helps keep the bees’ attention and movement more controlled instead of turning the entire bedroom into a bee nightclub! 🕺🐝😂

And believe me… I DON’T want thousands of little roommates flying around the room, hiding under furniture, or finding places I REALLY don’t want them to be. 😳

Because the job isn’t finished when the colony comes out of the wall.

The goal is to rescue the bees and also minimize all lost and aggressive stragglers afterward.

Nobody wants to wake up the next morning, stumble out of bed barefoot and discover…

🐝 “GOOD MORNING!” Ouch! ⚡️😩👣

Professional bee removal isn’t just about getting bees out.

It’s about understanding their behavior and using their natural instincts to your advantage.

I often get asked, “How do people know they have bees?”

Here’s your sign 🐝⚠️🐝

This issue is never fixed with caulk or spray foam. That was already attempted by others. As long as bees are living inside the structure, they will chew through caulk and spray foam to get back to their family and get back outside to gather supplies. Caulk is a great preventative measure if bees are not already present for sure! But it does not work in this kind of situation, neither does extermination.

They are so fluffy that they look blurry on camera. 🧡🐈🧡

Happy Labor Day Weekend! Working hard to find FURever homes for each of these sweet rescue babies! They are all eating wet and dry food and also using the litter box. The light orange one is spoken for, but all of the others are still available. 🧡🐈🧡229-563-3050. Text me anytime. You can pick one up next week. They will be ready, and they are darling! Tiny! They still fit in your hand. Very petite like their calico mama. 🧡

🐱📦 THE KITTENS HAVE FRIENDS… AND THEY COME BEARING SALMON! 🍣😂

Sometimes a little rescue story turns into something much bigger than you ever expected. ❤️

When Amy Whitehead, sponsor of Lowndes High School’s “Friends Fur Life” Club and our current Lowndes County Teacher of the Year, heard about the six rescued kittens, she reached out and asked how her club could help.

Well… today, the kittens received a SURPRISE GIFT BOX FROM CHEWY! 🎁📦🐾

And apparently, these little furballs have already learned how to make excellent friends because their box contained one of their absolute FAVORITE things…

SALMON! 🍣🐱😂

I’m pretty sure the kittens would like to officially nominate Friends Fur Life for “Best Humans Ever.” 🏆🤣

And then came another incredible surprise…

💕 The club is going to KITTEN-SIT over the holiday weekend! 💕

How amazing is that?!

These students aren’t just talking about loving animals—they are putting compassion into action. They are showing these little babies that people can be kind, caring, and willing to help when they need it most. 🥹🐾

From a scary beginning as rescued kittens to receiving surprise presents and having a whole group of teenagers excited to love on them…

These babies are already being spoiled rotten. And honestly? They deserve every bit of it. 🥰🐱

Thank you, Amy Whitehead and Friends Fur Life, for opening your hearts to these six little lives.

You didn’t just send a box of goodies.

You sent a box full of LOVE. ❤️📦🐾

And judging by the reaction to the salmon…

I think you have officially been adopted, too. 😂🍣🐱

🐝😂 11 PM, 16 FEET UP & HOLDING A BOX OF BEES ON MY HEAD! 🤠🐝

When T-Roy goes to bed early, apparently I become the stunt woman. 😂

It’s nearly 11 PM, and I’m back at the bee removal job for the FINAL step… going after the box of stray forager bees that has been patiently waiting for me STRAPPED TO THE TOP OF A 16-FOOT LADDER. 😳🐝

Because apparently removing bees during the day wasn’t enough adventure.

First problem: the box is HEAVY.

Second problem: it’s 16 feet in the air strapped to a ladder.

Third problem: there’s a giant light fixture directly in my way. 💡

Fourth problem: THE BOX IS FULL OF BEES. 🐝🐝🐝

So naturally, I climb up, carefully navigate around the light, somehow get that heavy box balanced on my head, and begin the world’s slowest descent. 😂✅

No sudden movements.
No rushing.
No dropping the box.
And DEFINITELY no opportunity to dump thousands of bees all over myself, the ladder, the ground, and the bank parking lot (which would 🐝 a big problem in the morning!)

This job apparently requires the strength of a weightlifter, the flexibility of a gymnast, the balance of a tightrope walker, and the patience of a saint.

BEE FLEXIBLE OR GO HOME! 😂💪🐝

And here’s the golden rule when you’re handling bees:

🐝 NEVER MOVE QUICKLY!

Slow, steady, controlled movements keep everyone calmer and safer—including the beekeeper!

So after all that precarious climbing, balancing, heavy lifting, and bee diplomacy…

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED. ✅🐝

Box secured.
Bees safe.
Beekeeper still upright.
Zero bee boxes spilled from the sky. 😂🙌

Because sometimes bee conservation happens at 11 PM… 16 feet in the air… with a box of bees on your head. 🤣🐝

Save the bees. Stay flexible. And apparently… stay awake after Stunt Man T-Roy goes to bed! 🤠🐝❤️
