!NO BURN DAY!
Sunday 3/22 is a state wide no burn day. Due to high temp, low humidity, and strong south winds the state has imposed a one day burn ban.

VVFD was sent to an 18 wheeler fire early this morning in I-35. Huge thanks to Flex and the other fire departments for the assistance.

The county burn ban has been lifted. You must still report any control burn to the Cooke County Sheriffs office BEFORE you burn.

Burn Ban reminder-
The county is still in a burn ban even though we’ve had some rain. Commisioners will vote on Monday to rescind it or not.

Well. Thank You!
Ya’ll made this fundraiser absolutely incredible. I won’t lie, I was a little worried we wouldn’t have a great turnout with so much else going on around town. But boy was I wrong. Ya’ll showed up for us! We had a record crowd!! We were busy as can be being short handed due some members being out of town and others running calls. I couldn’t believe how many people came through the line. I want to personally thank everyone. Our members that put in countless hours of work to make it happen. The community volunteers that helped our department. Lane and his family for cooking an amazing dinner. Curtis and his crew for a very successful auction! Our bidders for always showing up for us! All of our sponsors that helped ensure that all the expenses were covered. Those that showed up from surrounding communities. And most importantly, thank you to all of you, our community, Valley View!! Your support of our department has exceeded our expectations and we are so grateful. It takes the whole community to make this department successful and allow us to do what we need to do. Thank you to everyone.
