🏖️ Happy National Beach Day!

The Ascend Executive Team heard it's also National Toasted Marshmallow Day today... but considering Texas already feels like we're living inside a toasted marshmallow, we decided to skip the fire. 😂🔥

Instead, the furry crew packed their shades, grabbed their surfboards, and headed somewhere MUCH cooler! 🌊🐾

🥩🥂 Apparently the Executive Team has developed VERY expensive taste. 😂

In honor of National Filet Mignon & Prosecco Day, the furry executives traded snack inspections and naps for an evening of fine dining and dressing to the nines. 🐾

Good food. Great company. And one very paw-sh evening! 😂💜

Apparently someone created TWO national holidays specifically for my Executive Team. 😂🐾

Happy National S'mores Day AND National Lazy Day! 🔥🍫😴

Naturally, the Executive Team called an emergency meeting to determine the appropriate way to celebrate.

✔️ Repeat

🐶 Gracie: Finally received recognition for her exceptional relaxation skills.

🐈‍⬛ Marceline: Currently unavailable. Please direct all inquiries to someone who is awake.

😼 Lestat: Volunteered for S'mores Quality Control. His application was denied due to the chocolate. 😂

🐈 Miya: Will address all outstanding responsibilities... tomorrow.

Meanwhile, the human has provided pet-safe snacks while keeping the chocolate and marshmallows safely at the human S'mores Station. 😁

Barely toasted, golden brown, or "I accidentally set it on fire"? 😂

Some Mondays aren't about starting fresh. Sometimes they're simply about finding the strength to keep going. 💜

As we begin another week, my heart and prayers are especially with those who are grieving, hurting, overwhelmed, or walking through circumstances they never expected.

Maybe your goal today isn't to conquer the week.

Maybe it's just to get out of bed.
Say a prayer.
Make the phone call.
Go to work.
Take care of your family.
Or simply make it through today.

That's enough.

You don't have to figure out the whole week—or the whole road ahead—right now.

Take one small step, then another, trusting that God will walk with you through each one.

💜 Sunday Reflection

If your heart feels a little heavy tonight, this prayer is for you. 💜

Tonight, I'm praying for anyone who is hurting, worried, struggling, waiting for an answer, or carrying a burden that no one else can see.

Whatever we're facing, we don't have to have all the answers tonight.

God already does.

We can release what we cannot control, trust what we cannot yet understand, and rest knowing that He is already working in the places we cannot see.

🙏 Lord, please bring healing where there is pain, comfort where there is sorrow, provision where there is need, and peace where there is uncertainty.

Tonight, may we simply rest in His presence and trust His plan.

Peace begins in His presence. 💜

💜 Hi, friends! It's been a little while, so I thought it was time for a quick life update!

First, my new full-time position is going wonderfully! I'm truly loving my role, my teammates, and the company, and I'm so grateful for this new chapter. 💜

And since recruiting is part of what keeps me busy these days... if you know any OTs, PTs, STs, or therapy assistants in the El Paso or Colorado areas who may be looking for a new opportunity, I'd be so grateful for your referrals! Please feel free to reach out to me. 😊

🏡 And speaking of chapters... the Carport Reno is officially COMPLETE!

Those of you who've been following along know this project came with construction, progress updates, a few headaches... and, of course, plenty of supervision from our neighborhood squirrel management team. 🐿️😂

I put together this little before-to-after video so you can finally see the transformation!

We still plan to wrap the white posts in cedar later, but for now, I'm calling this chapter DONE. ✅

Thanks to everyone who followed along and laughed with me through the Carport Reno adventures. It's so nice to finally share the finished result! 🏡💜

Now, who's going to break the news to the squirrels that their construction-management contract has officially ended? 😂🐿️

🍕 Happy National Junk Food Day!

The Executive Team celebrated... well... most of them did. 😄

While some members were caught conducting "quality control" on the office snacks, one very good Goldendoodle stayed true to her chicken-and-rice diet. 🐶💜
