If you have never seen the BRB Feeder, LLC before, you should check them out. They are made by Gigi and Gary, next door in Tennessee. I put a few out on some hives yesterday and still have more to go. I'm using the glass jar option, but they also work with bucket feeders as well. We had crazy straight line winds last night and they all had no problem.staying put with the way the base is designed.

Split bees all of yesterday, equalized hives, found queen cells that were growing but not capped yet so the old queens were still there, charged the Defender hives with bees, etc. It was 85 degrees, humid, super windy and cloudy due to a storm front on its way. The bees... we're not happy about being broke open. Had to tape my wrists and ankles kind of not happy; if you know you know... This is what they were all worked up about as it came in around 1:30am this morning.

I started the Apiary Expansion project in my yard last weekend. Finally got around to putting up the first video of the ongoing process.

It's March 21, the first day of spring, and the apiary expansion project begins.

First batch of Defender Hives from Apimaye landed on my dock today, and then were immediately labeled and left for their forever homes about four hours later. If you ordered yours before 01/31/26, then it left our place today. All others will be filled out of my next shipment that should be here in early April fyi. (They are factory sealed, but I added our reinforced tape to help them get to you in one piece ;) ).

Pulled up the last few remaining garden beds (that were in way of my bee expansion path) as the storm front rolled in this past Sunday. Now to get back to work as the warmer weather starts rolling back in tomorrow!
