The above can be accomplished with various base materials, using various welding processes and procedures as needed and/or required. This will be done in accordance with customer specifications and applicable regulatory body standards as per job specification requirements. We are also 32 year members of the ( AWS) American Welding Society and ( ASNT) American Society of Non Destructive Testing. I Randy Knight have been a certified Welding Inspector since 1982 with the (AWS). We are also registered with the CPC, CCR, and Web Procurement Support Center. SMIS offers Qualified Marine Personnel of the following crafts: Outside Machinist, Marine Electricians, Blaster Painters, Riggers, Operators, Scaffolding Carpenters, Structural Fitters, Pipe Fitters, Structural Welders, Pipe Welders, Craft Helpers, and Firewatchers. Other specialty crafts can be furnished with advanced notice and exact description of skills required. At Southern Marine & Industrial Services, LLC, we also offer (QCP) Qualified Craft Personnel to fill in at peak production times or supply personnel for specific jobs. We can bring together full crews to cover certain jobs such as Pipe, Steel, Tubing, Weld-out, Fabrication, and Installation. We have set up in-house testing, written craft test, safety test, physical fitness test, ship orientation test, work history verification, hands on skill test, drug screening, and E-verify. Please note PFT’s and background checks can also be done upon request. SMIS has created a program (QMP) Qualified Marine Personnel. This is captured on a database once the applicant has gone through the above testing. We consider these personnel qualified for the QMP program. This program is monitored and updated on a daily basis to ensure our customers that Qualified Marine Personnel are available on a will call basis. All customers are invited to review our testing program and can request changes to this program to fit their specific needs. Upon your request, SMIS can quote hourly rates for Craft Personnel.
