As many of you know, 1000 Cranes Studios, LLC is the parent company to the Brickanista Broadcast Network also available here on Facebook at fb.com/brickanista .

We'll be using this page as a landing page for the foreseeable future. FB allows us to schedule events and provides also more integration with social media apps that we are using.

Have now added YouTube streaming to our list of offerings through 1000 Cranes Studios! Very thankful to the City of Sebastopol for the opportunity to livestream their Planning Commission meeting last night through Zoom! Here are some behind the scenes shots of the work I do for the City of Sebastopol on Tuesday nights. In October, 1000 Cranes will be celebrating two years of supporting them with the livestreaming of some of their meetings. And just like with any business, their have been challenges we have had to overcome, but things have progressively improved over time. The City Council last night had a discussion about entrepreneurs and even though I am an individually owned LLC, I know I have supported many individual contractors along the way financially, so although I am small, it is my little contribution to the economy. Hopefully, our contractors over the years have appreciated that, too, in this gig economy.

Last night I came to the stark realization that my 2012 laptop is showing its age, and it is time to invest in another platform to better support our customers and take the business into the streaming market in a new way. Stay tuned for those activities coming soon!!! September will be an amazing month!!!

Did some preliminary testing with the Yeti Blue 3.0, and it is working great with Zoom! I have noticed my voice doesn't come across as clearly through the built-in mic on my laptop so it was time for an upgrade! I have missed being on the radio once a week since I left Petaluma in November 2019. In these Covid19 times, it will be different reviewing movies, but I think it is time to give it a go again. The page is still up, and it's time to do some Zoom integration testing before going live again! Stay tuned as I work on getting a little studio set up with the hopes of streaming again. You can see the page on FB and view some old episodes to get a feel for the flow of the show. This setup will work for now until I get my own place in mid-July. Stay tuned!!!

Please help me welcome Sam Karpinsky to the 1000 Cranes Studios team. He, Zach Tracy and I were there to support the City Council meeting of the City of Sebastopol. Here are some behind the scenes support shots of the Livestream/Zoom session. This was one of the best attended sessions we've had since going remote due to Covid19. Zoom was solid, and we had some hiccups in the beginning of the Livestream that we were able to resolve midway through the meeting. Thankfully, we had two backup recordings and the final product is good and now uploaded. It's a Brave New World we live in now!

Love doing audio visual work for my clients. Last night was a marathon 5+ hour meeting of the Sebastopol City Council where I helped them with their splash screens and managed the various views remotely here from Seattle. Here are two Behind The Scenes (BTS) shots using my Samsung Tablet 4 and my MacBookPro with the green screen setup to help with the transition slides. The Assistant City Manager/City Clerk gave major praise to 1000 Cranes Studios for our professionalism and help during this transition. Thank you, City of Sebastopol!

OMG...went to Joann's yesterday to drop off my finished masks and look at the line that wraps around the block! Glad people were wearing masks and practiced social distancing guidelines! Thankfully, since I was just dropping off masks, I was able to just drop in without having to wait. I have not ventured out except for groceries and walking just about every day. This was a sobering site showing us the new normal. I plan to visit Joann's early in the morning next time to minimize exposure to the crowds. Stay safe people! @ JOANN Fabric and Craft Stores

Finished 8 more masks this week using the Joann's supplies and patterns so this plus the four I made for my housemates using the other AB pattern brings this up to an even dozen I have been able to produce. It feels good to be able to contribute a little even though my skills are clunky and slower than others. It was good to get my sewing skills honed after years of being idle. The last thing I had sewn were my hand puppets about 5 years ago! Quarantine has been helpful in focusing efforts on helping others. Hope Joann's finds a good home for them!

Very grateful that 1000 Cranes Studios can still be on the job helping our clients! We have been supporting the City of Sebastopol with their City Council and other government meetings. When the State of California issued the shelter in place order, we converted them to Zoom meetings with us available as technical support. Very thankful that Zach ( ) and I could monitor the session from Windsor, California, and Seattle, Washington, respectively! Made sure the livestream was working and got closed captioning support in place as well. The audio quality of the meetings have been excellent, and we can support both the interactive (Zoom) and the Vimeo Livestream passive interface. We also had a video backup just in case, but everything went so smoothly!!! Love how technology keeps us together!!!
