These “LT Webb and Chaos left behind”
posts are out of control. The latest one made “Chaos” an opossum. 🤣

NO US MWDs were left behind in Afghanistan.

But this post made us laugh. Some got it as satire. Some were genuinely concerned about the welfare US military Virginia Opossums in Afghanistan.

LT Webb is getting tired of all the animals he left behind showing up at Dulles Airport and calling him in the middle of the night.

“First, when Chaos the yellow Labrador arrived at Dulles, it was a big celebration for our heartfelt reunion.” LT Webb said in a recent interview. “When Chaos the camel called me, I left at 4am to beat the DC traffic and pick him up.” He
paused, contemplating his life choices. “But when Chaos the Virginia Opossum called at 2am asking for a ride from the airport, I told him “Dude. It’s great to hear from you, but I have an early formation. Can you just get an Uber?”

LT Webb stated he was questioning his choice to leave so many animals behind, since that was not actually a DOD policy.

ARRRGH! Saw it again today in practice doing relief work. Collapsed working dog comes into the clinic and the techs immediately muzzle her with a tight “medical muzzle” because she’a a Malinois! These muzzles completely close the mouth and prevent panting. Don’t know what her initial temp was, but by the time they get her temperature, it’s 106 F and they think she might be a heat injury (it turned out it wasn’t). This dog, that turned out to be a neurological condition, was almost put into heat injury because they followed the “muzzle first” doctrine with working dogs. They also stereotyped this Malinois working dog as “dangerous” without the context that she was a veteran’s service dog!

Every clinic needs this type of muzzle, and to educate themselves on managing different kinds of working dogs in their clinic.
