I have had business owners comment on to me in terms of work ethic, loyalty and overall work performance. They deem US lazy and un-loyal in the corporate and work sector. Being part of this group I don't think that, its actually quite the contrary and millennials are the break and rebuild if I have to generation, which in fact takes more work and I wish everyone would understand our real mindset.
1. Work ethic - We want to work but we want to be treated fairly and compensated fairly for our contributions.
2. Creatives - We have so many opportunities and platforms to maximize our productivity and generate income we are creative by nature and want to be utilized in that sector.
3. Interactive and direct - That is our nature and we respect that more than indirect managerial approaches.
4. Compensation - The previous generation was built on: go to school, get good grades, get a good job. With us we respect that mindset, however, compensation takes a back seat to peace and happiness for a majority of millennials.
5. Phones - The phones that were once banned in workplaces can actually be used as a business owners advantage where you can generate leads through social media, create content during downtime, and promote outside communication to boost your business directly from your employees personal social interactions.
