The definition of gratitude is to return a kindness. Which reminds us of a story. About a year ago, a 🐦 flew in to our home. We tried to lure it out by using an app that mimics bird calls. Plot twist! It lured another bird in to join it. We suddenly had two birds! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Those birdies had laid a nest and a baby egg in our rafters. So for nearly three weeks, that little bird family became part of ours. They flew in and out of our house like they owned the place. Welcome guests at a time when the pandemic had us isolated from loved ones. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Finally one day, when all three 🐦’s left the house….. we closed the door and kept it shut. (One can only let guests stay and poo on the floor for so long. Even Polite Society can loose their patience.) Just like that our family of six, became three again. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Nearly a year later, the little friends are back again. This time on our balcony chirping us awake alongside our alarm clock…… how’s that for showing gratitude?⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
