25-hour recording requirements are coming. Embraer 170/175 operators now have a certified path forward.

GoAeroMx holds the FAA STC for installation of Universal Avionics’ KAPTURE Cockpit Voice and Flight Data Recorder on the Embraer 170/175.
KAPTURE gives operators more than increased recording capacity. The system provides:
• 25-hour cockpit voice and flight data recording
• Data link communications capture
• Continued recording for up to 10 minutes following power loss
• Recorder Independent Power Supply using an internal capacitor pack
• No external battery-dependent LRU or bolt-on device
• Compliance with applicable FAA TSO and EASA EUROCAE ED-112A requirements

Small plane, big upgrade 🛩️

We just wrapped an avionics modernization on this Cessna 172 — swapping out aging analog gauges for a glass panel setup that gives the pilot a lot more clarity in the cockpit.

It's easy to assume upgrades like this are only for the big jets. They're not. Whether it's a 172 or a 767, the same rule applies: don't wait until the old system fails to think about what's next.

Owners — would you upgrade a panel like this, or stick with the classic gauges? We see it go both ways!

POV: Safer airspace starts with giving pilots a clearer picture of what’s around them.

The conversation around ADS-B In and ACAS X is about more than another avionics mandate. It’s about improving situational awareness and giving flight crews better information when seconds matter.

As Congress considers the ROTOR and ALERT Acts, the direction is clear: collision avoidance technology will continue to evolve, and operators should be thinking ahead about what that means for their fleets. From broader ADS-B In equipage to the next generation of ACAS, these advancements have the potential to improve safety while also delivering meaningful operational benefits.
