Releasing the possum. Had to get a drink first.

Thought we were after a rat and this guy shows up. Just a possum. We put a live trap and caught it that night and took it out and released it.

The squirrel has been evicted. After just one day, it exited through a one way door and cannot return to wreak havoc in this attic.

Time to find a new home for this little guy.

I'm not one to publicly post names of other pest control companies but just wanted to offer some advice when dealing with the "big box" pest control companies. I won't name them, but if they have a corporate office, that's who I am referring to. My company is right in here in Vernon. Do not sign a contract for routine service, like monthly or quarterly. They will charge you, even you aren't home at the scheduled time, even if they don't treat anything. But more importantly and the reason for this post, I went to do an estimate on a house today that had spiders, rodents, and termites. Yes, termites are expensive but not "build a new house" expensive. This big box company quoted them $48,000. Unbelievable. This company was trying to take advantage of them. I mean, if you have 3 young children and someone told you that your attic was infested with brown recluse spiders, you might be willing to spend any amount. I saw two spiders and they weren't brown recluses. I'm going to be able to save them about 44K. I'm still in shock. If you didn't read the whole post, at least take this advice. Get multiple estimates, especially if that price makes you nearly faint.

That explains why there wasn't any squirrels. Customer called wanting us to remove squirrels from a hole in the wall. We placed our camera to monitor the activity and nature's own pest controller beat us to the job.
