David has been with us for just over a year and in his role he reaches out to new customers, manages current accounts, and helps customers with design options and machine equipment. He notes that the best part about work is “Meeting new customers, learning about their life and how it translates to their work, as well as going to their facilities to see their operations”. Welcome to this week’s Team Member Spotlight! Today we are highlighting Dawn, one of our Project Managers who has been with us for four years. In her role she has many tasks, including estimating, project management, serving customers from the initiation of estimates through the delivery of their projects and more. Dawn notes that her favorite part of what she does at Superior is “Developing long-term relationships with the customers we serve and my Superior teammates by positively representing Superior's core values of safety, respect, quality, communication, teamwork, and creativity”. Happy Friday and welcome to this week’s team member spotlight! Today we are featuring Carla, our Purchasing Coordinator who has been with us for 15 years. In her role she procures goods and services for company use, monitors deliveries to make sure they arrive on time, receives all material inventory properly in Carton ERP, maintain SDS program, manages SFI/FSC reporting process, kanban process, and VOC reporting. She says that her favorite part of her job is “interacting with all departments which gives me the opportunity to learn more about how the company operates overall and how it all ties together”. We recently got a new Koenig & Bauer 164! 7 color + coater, UV capable, in-line color control and full-sheet quality inspection. Our press crews are excited to learn the new functions and features that assist in their work!

Two weeks ago our team members enjoyed a BBQ prepared by the managers! Everyone enjoyed snacks, drinks, and carnival themed games and prizes. Here you can see some of the bean bag toss winners and raffle winners. We look forward to more events like this in the future!

Welcome to this week’s team member spotlight of one of our Prepress/Cad/Preflight team members, Joe! He has been with us for a total of 11 years, starting as a forklift driver and working in various departments along the way. In his role, he sets up files for proofing and press, and preflights artwork for any mishaps or discrepancies, ensuring that the end user receives a clean file for their machines. He says that his favorite part of his job is the freedom to be creative and be heard, and “being able to work as a team and help others”, also noting the fact that the company is great in giving their employees opportunities, which is how he ended up where he is now. Thank you, Joe, for all you do!
