❄️ Routes limited on Friday, Feb 21st

Hi neighbors!

The good news is that things are starting to normalize on the roadways. The bad news is that rural roads are now saturated and muddy. Muddy roads and top heavy trash trucks don't mix well. Temps will also be hovering near zero with windchill throughout the morning hours.

We'll be running tomorrow but it's going to be best effort. If the roads leading to your location are muddy, our crews might not be able to safely collect your trash but we're going to do our best to get as many customers as we can. The temps and roadways also mean we'll be running slower than normal to keep everyone safe.

Thank you for your understanding! We hate going off schedule but the safety of our team will always be our first priority.

❄️ Routes for Thursday, February 20th have been cancelled

Overall road conditions throughout our service area actually worsened today according to ODOT guidance. Areas that were moderate moved into the severe category. Coupled with the dangerous temperatures expected tomorrow, Thursday's routes have been cancelled.

We are always bummed when we have to change our schedule but we take our responsibility for the safety of our crews, our customers and fellow motorists seriously. That has to remain the priority.

❄️ Routes for Wednesday, February 19th have been cancelled

Hi neighbors! While many areas in our service area saw less precipitation than projected, there was still enough freezing rain, sleet and ice to change road conditions to Moderate and Severe according to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation (ODOT).

Combined with dangerous sub-zero temperatures expected throughout the morning hours, we've made the decision to cancel tomorrow's routes.

As we said yesterday: we are always bummed when we have to change our schedule but we take our responsibility for the safety of our crews, our customers and fellow motorists seriously. That has to remain the priority.

❄️ Routes for Tuesday, February 18th have been cancelled.

Like you, we've been glued to the news watching forecasts, gathering information and trying to plan for tomorrow (and after).

With the last round of forecasts this evening, it's looking more likely than not that we're going to see ice and snow tomorrow throughout our service area. We are always bummed when we have to change our schedule but we take our responsibility for the safety of our crews, our customers and fellow motorists seriously.

With that being said, we're cancelling tomorrow's routes to keep our crews home and safe as this system moves into our area.

The experts are calling this a major winter event, with the potential to produce temps and wind chills similar to the dangerous system we saw in 2021. We will continue monitoring conditions as the week progresses and we'll keep you posted.

❄️ Sweater Weather Incoming ❄️

Hi neighbors! We're watching the forecast closely for this week as precipitation and chilly temps head into Oklahoma. As of right now, our plan is to run normally.

UPDATE: 12:45 PM
As of a few minutes ago, the forecast for our service area has been updated to show a chance of 2-7" of snow accumulation, which increases the chance of route delays or cancellation.

As of 10:45 this morning, our service area should largely be unaffected by snow and ice (that could always change as the storm system develops). The main concern for us will be the low temps, especially looking at Wednesday morning.

Our goal is always to run normally but the safety of our crews, customers and other motorists will forever be our priority.

❄️ Weather Update ❄️

The snow has moved in and road conditions have become challenging quickly - especially for our big and heavy trucks. ODOT has now moved the road conditions in our service area into the category of Severe.

We've pulled our crews in so they can get in and home safely before roadways worsen and temps drop. If today was your service day, and we didn't make it to you, hold tight. We're going to see how the conditions change tonight and tomorrow morning and we'll share plans. As always, the safety of our crews will have to remain the priority but we'll be back out there as soon as we can.

Hi neighbors!

Based on the shortage of eggs, milk and bread, it looks like winter weather is headed into the area (IYKYK). 😏

We wanted to stop in and let you know that we're monitoring conditions and will share any route changes here once we have a better feel for how the weather will impact safety for our teams and other motorists.

Our goal is always to stay on schedule and run normally and that's the case here - as long we can do so safely. We'll be monitoring ODOT guidance on road conditions and getting feedback from teams in the field as the storm moves into our area.

Howdy neighbors! We wanted to share an update about next week and Labor Day.

All routes will be running normally on Monday and throughout the rest of the week. There are no changes to our pickup schedule.

Our transfer stations in Vian and Eufaula will be closed on Monday in observation of the holiday however. They'll reopen to the public on Tuesday at 9:00 AM.
