Open burning has once again been opened by the County Commissioners - remember to activate your burn permit prior to burning. And it can always dry out quickly, so be prepared have water close at hand and most of all remember to be safe.

From Victor School -
🏴‍☠️ Pirate Families,
Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans tonight! ⚡️ Due to lightning in the area, we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s 5K event.
We are disappointed that we can’t continue this fun Back-to-School tradition tonight, but we hope to keep it going! 💙💛 We’ll keep everyone posted as we work on a make-up date.
Thank you for your understanding, and stay safe, Pirates! 🏴‍☠️

🚒 A Huge Thank You From Victor Fire Department 🚒

The Victor Fire Department would like to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who assisted us with a haystack fire that took nearly 7 hours to bring under control.

We are incredibly grateful to Corvallis Fire, Pinesdale Fire, Stevensville Fire, Florence Fire, and King’s Canteen for their assistance and support. We also want to give a special thank you to the family members who showed up with their tractors and worked alongside our crews. Your help made a tremendous difference.

in addition thank you to Ravalli County Dispatch for their hard work coordinating resources and communications throughout the incident.

Fires like this are a reminder of just how fortunate we are to live and serve in a community where neighboring departments, dispatchers, families, and community members come together when help is needed. This is a devastating loss for one of our local ranchers please keep them in mind as our haying season wraps up.

Thank you to everyone who answered the call, brought equipment, provided support, and stayed with us through a long seven hours. We truly appreciate you!
