You do NOT have to keep every single paper your kids bring home from school. 🙌🏼

Artwork, sweet notes, funny assignments, great test scores, handwriting samples — if it feels special, take a photo of it.

My favorite system? Upload the photos throughout the year to a private Instagram account for your child, then turn them into a photo book at the end of the school year.

You keep the memories without dedicating an entire closet to 14 years of construction paper. 😂

And if you’re thinking, “That sounds great, but I am absolutely not keeping up with that all year…” we can do it for you.

Keep everything in a pile or bin, hand it over at the end of the year, and Sorted Spaces can photograph the keepers, organize the memories, and help turn them into a book.

Officially completed! 🎉💙

Over the past several weeks, I’ve been working through The Confidence Collective: Empowering Women Entrepreneurs Boost Camp & Grant, and I’m so proud to have made it to the finish line.

This program pushed me to look at Sorted Spaces from every angle—marketing, customer experience, partnerships, pricing, growth, and the systems behind the scenes that make a business actually work. Some weeks confirmed I’m on the right track, and others gave me a whole list of things I want to keep improving. 😂

Owning a business means you’re pretty much always learning, adjusting, and figuring out what comes next. I’m grateful for opportunities like this that force me to get out of the day-to-day work and think bigger about where I’m going.

Most professional organizers probably don’t do this… but I stand by it. 😂

I wash it. I dry it. I fold it. Then I lovingly dump each kid’s clean laundry in front of them and tell them to put it away.

As you can see, they handle this responsibility with maturity and grace. Apparently putting away your own clothes is quite literally fatal. 💀😂

And no, I do not care what their drawers look like. 🫣

Every few months we go through everything, purge what they’ve outgrown because they grow approximately 14 inches overnight, file fold it all beautifully, and hope for the best.

After that? What will be, will be. 😂 If they can find their clothes and they’re actually putting them away themselves, I’m calling it a win.

Because organizing doesn’t have to mean every drawer in your house looks Instagram-ready. Sometimes the best system is the one you’re not personally responsible for maintaining.

Their drawers? Whatever happens, happens. 😂
Mine? Let’s just say I practice what I preach. 🫣
