Residents in the Laketown neighborhood may continue to notice a lingering smoke odor following the Oct. 13 structure fire. This is expected given the amount of smoke produced during the fire.
The Victoria Fire Department is working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office to investigate the cause of the fire. The investigation remains ongoing.
Residents with doorbell camera footage, security or phone video, photos, or other information from the area between 5 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 13 are encouraged to share it with investigators by emailing [email protected]. Please note that any submissions could become public data.
