Yesterday morning 07/29/2026 @ 07:08 BGVFD was dispatched to a single vehicle rollover with Entrapment on Battleground Mountain, Battleground Rescue 7 arrived on scene and quickly determined the need for a rope rescue to get down to PT due to car being approximately 15-20 feet down a steep embankment, West Point FD was requested for mutual aid, Cullman City Fire offered assistance and responded with 3 trucks and manpower.

Battleground Fire would like to thank West Point Fire/Rescue and Cullman Fire Rescue for the mutual aid.

As today ends “National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week (NPSTW)” on behalf of the Battleground Volunteer Fire Departmentwe would like to thank you all for your service and everything you do for the communities and Fire Departments. We hear you and we see you, as someone who has been a Volunteer Firefighter/Medical for the past 15 years we go through a lot of Traumatic calls with Unfortunate outcomes that live with us on a daily basis, these dispatchers go through the same Traumatic incidents except they are hearing it on a phone line and trying everything they can to help individuals over the phone along with dispatching ambulances and Fire Departments to the scene and a lot of times they remain on the phone until they know help has arrived. A lot of people overlook Dispatchers and don’t realize that they are going through the same thing that we are on the front lines, but we see it and respect everything you do!

Battleground Fire landing Air Evac Lifeteam 15 - Cullman Co., Ala. @ our LZ located at Station #1 for a Medical Call we responded to @ 14:38

Battleground Fire was dispatched @ 18:01 to Hilltop Marathon for a Vehicle Fire. BGVFD Engine 3 and Engine 4 arrived on scene to a Fully Involved Car Fire approximately 10 feet from the structure and 20 feet from the gas pumps, E3 and E4 initiated Fire Attack. Truck 1, Engine 5, and Tanker 2 also responded for assistance. 250 Gallons of water usage and was able to bring the Fire under control preventing damage to the Structure.
