I opened my own business/in home daycare in Jan of 2020. At this point in time I had the full support of my mom and 2 boys signed up. A little boy named Mav and a baby who wasn't born yet but soon to be one of my most amazing families and friends I could have asked for. (Ahem and ate) The next 5 and a half/close to 6 years I've been working my butt off falling in love with kids and saying good bye to families through out time. I helped many families out during Covid year! Many people graciously donated toys and things to me. There were plenty of ups and downs through out these years as there are in life and I've learned and grown a lot. I fell in love with these babies/kids more than I could have ever imagined. They were my world and I loved all of it! After some unfortunate things and a lot of thinking and praying I decided it was time to close my daycare. This past Wednesday was my final day with the children I still had left and it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done and had to process. I knew starting a new career was the right move but saying good bye or see you later to families I saw just about daily was going to be the hardest thing I'll have to do. I've grown attached and love them so much! I couldn't thank the Holmes family enough, besides my mom they are my biggest supporters and I'm so grateful they have been here from day 1 with Lael to my last day with Lael, Azel, and Jair. They became my world. Thank you to every single person who has ever supported me and had my back during this incredible journey I was on! It'll mean more than yall ever know! Now I'm off to teach a bunch of 6th graders math!
